I believe Pettigrew will come back as a good guy or do something in order to help Harry BECAUSE:
In book 3, when Harry was taking Peter back to castle and Peter escaped, Dumbledore mentioned something that confused me. Its about Harry saving Pettigrew's life by letting him be led to the dementors and him escaping. Dumbledore tells Harry this:
"This is magic at its deepest, its most impenetrable, Harry. (((Dumbledore talking about the bond forming between Harry and Pettigrew when Harry saved Pettigrew's life accidentally))) But trust me...the time may come when you will be very glad you saved Pettigrew's life." _________________
i don't think hes just going to wake up one morning and say hay, harry saved my life in the 3rd book lemme go to the good side. what might happen is when harry and Voldemort are fighting and voldemort is going to kill harry wormtail might save is life and pay the debt he ows harry. this debt might take wormtails life. _________________ Peace is a lie. I say that in a way, yes he will. he owes Harry, yet he is in too deep. He might die in the process of defending Harry.

I think he will join the side of which he feels will be winning. (He did the same when he betrayed James and Lily).

The wizarding bond may mean that Peter has to help Harry in Book 7, in the fight against LV.
Peter is a total coward, so will side according to which side will protect him.
Yes, I agree, somehow it looks likely that Peter will be helping Harry in the fight against LV, there's no way JKR would have Dumbledore telling Harry something like that, without it coming back in later books.

petagrew will only come back to the "light side" if harry or some other good guy either scares him or has something he wants. he is a spineless rat......as we well know. though i will give him the BOTD... because neville wasnt suppost to be in gryffendor some thought then he
