First time poster
Anyone else think it would have been really cool if Dudley and his wife appeared in the final chapter? I've always enjoyed the Dursleys and I think it would have been really cool if Dudley got married and had a magic kid like Lily. It would have been awesome to see him and Harry meet up 19 years later when Dudley has to bring his kid into Harry's world. Would have given some more closure to the whole Dursley relationship too, probably would have been very heartwarming. Or else Dudley would have been exactly like Vernon, completely horrified to have a wizard in his midst. I just really thought this would have been awesome.

Yea I agree, I think that would have been pretty neat.

I agree. The epilogue was supposed to be this great chapter explaining what happens to every character and such and it was very short, lame, and explained NOTHING! What happened to Hogwarts? To the Weasleys? To Geaorge now that his twin was gone? The whole Wizarding World!? It ended up sounding like some bad fan fiction. Confused

well in the epiolgue, they were only explaining about they main charcaters, Ginny, Harry, Hermione and Ron.

Yeah but it was kind of a lame explanation. We knew that they would get married. And I thought the epilogue was a wrap up of all the characters we loved, not just the main four. And we could have stilled been told more about them. But I guess its her book and if Jo felt that the epilogue was fine and dandy, then it will be enough for me. This only means fan fiction is not closed, lol.

haha thats a good way to think about it. well with any luck and a miricle, maybe Jo will write a book about the charictors at the age they were in the epologue. i doubt that will happen, but i think that would have the closure that was talked about earlier for sure.

That'd be pretty sweet... it would add a lot of closure, and just knowing that Dudley had a magical kid would be somewhat entertaining. Creative idea.

I was so pissed at the epilouge! I was looking forward to it SOOO much. When I finaly got to it and it finished I was like "What the HELL just happened!" So many things just left unsaid like that?!?! Big D in the last chapter with a magical child would have been so neat! I think that while Vernon would be shocked that Petunia would be happy seeing as she wanted to be a witch herself.
