seeing as the books and movies are coming to an end, what are you going to miss most about them? pick 5 things.

1. hogwarts (i don't think i need an explanation for this one)
2. the trio (i love them. especially after yet again watching the first movie, where they were closer than ever, and together in practically every scene, i realize how much i'm going to miss them)
3. duels (always so entertaining to see harry and voldemort fight it off, with harry winning all of the duels.. so far, at least)
4. hedwig (ah, i love that owl)
5. teaching staff (dumbledore, mcgonagall, flitwick, snape.. i'm going to miss all of the teachers)

even though i'm going to miss everything, those are my top 5.

But Harry Potter will live on! Just because the last book comes out doesn't mean that the series will forever be destroyed.

i will miss the suspense....all the time we've waited....anxiety mounting everytime we reread the book and pick up on things we never saw before

also...whats gonna happen to jk rowling? obviously if she publishes another book (having nothing to do with magic...perhaps even an erotic novel Surprised haha) it will probably be purchased by everyone....but theres no way her success can be matched... Confused

Yeah its hard to say; trying to figure out all the plot details, eliminating theories, etc has been really fun while waiting for the final book(s). Although i'm going to have to say the trio as well, their friendship is such a derivitive part of the story. The realtionships in general, its going to be hard to say goodbye

Everything will live on within the series. All you have to do is reread the books, rewatch the movies. Fanfiction will always be there too.

So for me, I'm going to miss the anticipation of a new release. I'm going to miss the surprises I get reading the new book the day it comes out. I'll miss all the theories and speculation. The arguments over what's going to happen, whether that was foreshadowing for something, etc.

When I get the 7th book I'm going to be so happy and so sad at the same time. I can only imagine what it was like for JKR.

Actually I'm not gonna miss nothing because the movies and the books will always be here. In about 2 years Half Blood Prince movie will be relesed and then The Deathly Hollows.

i pretty much entirely agrre with padfoot08. The theories, debates, and anticipation are so exciting. Although, having all my questions answered will be dissapointing. I dont think a human mind could function with absolute knowledge, there always has to be those questions; what happens when you die, the bewilderment of sensory perception and thus knowledge. Thought process, concepts of infinite and zero, there will always be things we cant entirely comprehend, and with harry potter, all of these holes and questions will be answered/filled. To me, as many have said, this is both dissapointing and blissful. Its truly the end of wondering, guessing, and simply not knowing what truly happens. That, and having to say goodbye to characters and their relationships is going to be hardest; particularly the trio.

the entire magical community... the shops, hogwarts, the professors, the people, the subjects, the things... i wish jkr writes a book about dumbledore and grindelwald so that we get a glimpse again of hogwarts and the magical world.
