i noticed this a long time ago, but never had anyone to share it with.
when dumbledore is falsly confessing to fudge about starting an army, it seems like kingsley use they imperious curse on marietta instead of just a memory charm. does anyone else think so?
i wonder if jk rowling changed it because teh imperious curse is illegal, and didn't want kingsley portrayed that way. |

I think it's just the memory charm. Marietta seems to b e confused ans stunned... sort of like what happens to others when they are hit with the curse. I'd have to reread that part of the book, though.

what section was this in? i thought i posted it in order of the phoenix.
anyway, she seems totally zombie like. even when there is a massive attack going on around her, she just stands there. that's what makes me think it was an imperious curse. at the very least, that's what made her shake her head and nod. her memory might've been wiped of the events, too.

Originally you had posted this in the Order of the Phoenix movie section. It's not a big deal, though.
That's usually how the memory charm works, though... he altered her memory. So when they asked her the questions, she answered them according to her newwly modified memory. That's what I had thought, anyway.
