Hello, everyone, and greetings from Little Hangleton! Yeah right...I wish!

I'm here, of course, because I love the Harry Potter books and am eager to be a member of a community where that is the common attitude. I am 23 years old, live in Troy, Illinois, USA, which is about 20 miles (26 km) east of St. Louis, Missouri, home of the Gateway Arch, a Budweiser brewery, and, most important of all, the St. Louis Cardinals. I am a graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky (no, not everyone in Kentucky is uneducated), and my major was German with a minor in Political Science. I now work as a substitute teacher and a Crew Leader at McDonald's, but I recently decided to go back to uni and get a teacher certification to become a high school German teacher, so I'm really excited about that!

'So why did you choose "littlehangleton"?' you might ask. That is, of course, where only bad things have taken place in the books thus far, and therefore not really something most people would wish to associate themselves with. Well, it's simple really. While only bad things have taken place in the books there, I picture it otherwise as being really quite a lovely little village. I imagine it having all of the lovable people there that you would need to make a town perfect, including the ladies who gossip all the time, the men who sit in the pub and have a pint, the vicar who's always there to care for his flock, and everyone just knows everyone in general. Kids grew up together and now work together, and everyone's got their rivalries with someone else in town (especially some of the old men), but then if someone from outside the community were to mess with any one of them, they would back each other up. Deep down, they all care for each other very much and are united in the memories they share, the experiences they've had as a town, etc. The most memorable of these things is the mysterious death of the Riddle family, which anyone else outside the town who didn't know would consider them all crazy for claiming. That's why I love Little Hangleton.

You know the Detroit Tiger's should of won the World Series last year. I mean look at the Cardinals this year. Even with all there injury's the tiger's are better.
