Hello, I'm sure there have been other topics on this, but I couldn't find one. I know how to say Hermione. However, the question I have about her name has to do with emphasis. I've always pronounced her name the same way, but I've met a few people who've put the emphasis on a different syllable.

For example:

I've always prounounced it: Her-my-oh-KNEE. Putting the emphasis on the Knee.

The other way I've heard it is: Her-my-OH-knee. Putting the emphasis on the Oh

Can anyone clear this up by any chance?

I think you may be right about that. Let me rephrase it. The people I know make an effort stress the OH syllable where as I just let the name flow.

I don't really put emphasis on any particular syllable.
I dunno, I can't figure it out.
