I dont know how many of you have noticed, but in Half Blood Prince, in page 485 in the hard cover english version, Slughorn called Ron, Rupert...
did he make a mistake or wat?
seemed kind of ironic to me.....you know, since the actors name is actually rupert....
what do you think?? |

yes i noticed that too and i do believe that slughorn made a mistake. you normally make mistakes with names when you dont cosider the person significant enough to remember his name (unless the name is too complicated like vissarioniovich or something). therefore jk was depicting someone who didnt think ron was impt. but i cant help thinking that jk was thinking of rupert grint when she wrote that. |

I think JK used Rupert to make a joke and to see how many of us picks it up.

yeah I think she was joking too.
Slughorn didn't really know or care for Ron and his name
but Jk Rowling making it interesting, put in Rupert (for Rupert Grint)

yes, he did make a mistake because he never called ron by his real name. when he was serving ron the poisoned drink i'm pretty sure he called him ralph.
but it was clever. i didnt catch that at first. |

Hmm...this could be something of a trick or as stated it could be Foreshadowing as well. Great, now I am going to have to hurry and finsih OotP and HBP so that I can start reading my copy of TDH the day I get it, on Sat.
