ok. so i think that lily and snape should have benn together. just cuz i think snape loved her more deeply than james ever could have. sorry harry. but i think they make a better couple

^ yup i agree... and y r we still having a convo of lily and james or lily and snape??? shouldnt we be talking about if Dumbledore or Mcgonagall ever had an affair.... cuz it seemed like they .... were well... into each other.... if u know what i mean

No. We don't know who loved her more, just that they did. If Snape hadn't gone to the Dark Side Lily and him would have been quite happy together. But he did, so they didn't and she ended up with the right person, I think.

well im just obesssed w/ the thought of snapes love.
no one listened to me when i said snape was good
or when i said harry was the last horcrux
but o well.

I like that James ended up with Lilly. They fit well together and when James grew up Lilly could see the good in him.

You dont get to see how deeply James could have loved Lily. Also, Snape turned out to be good but he was from an abusive family which could have carried into a marriage with Lily. He might not have been there for her very much. We know he was a selfish person who was capable of immaturity and unforgiving hatred that could last decades.
James was a good person, with a good heart from the beginning. Was he a little mean spirited? Yes, but we all are and he changed. Snape would have had a harder time changing sense he "lost" and James "won" but he still should have shown the character to overcome his hatred and he didnt. I love Snape but he wasnt a nice person.

you're absolutely right that snape wasn't a nice person. i think that's why i like him so damn much!
but it's obvious that james must have really loved lily, because if lily loved him then he HAD to have had something going for him.
plus them being together was rather convenient, you know, for the plot and stuff... ;] |

yeah, i understand the appealing, because it may seem that snape loved her more, but the poor guy was a bit obsessed, i mean, 17 years after her death he still couldnt get over it
also, i wouldnt like harry half as much if he would've been more like snape

I think "Harry" could be rather handsome, with Lily's beauty and Severus' dark hair, except his hooked nose of course. Nah, dunno actually but I'm imagining that their son would look handsome. Or perhaps they would have a daughter?  |

the books say so
he might be decent if he washed his hair and dressed up a bit better but ko always described him as unattractive

I really don't think that Snape and Lilly would have worked together, and not just because i don't like Snape. Snape was into the dark arts to much for Lilly and i really don't think that he would have changed that much for her.
I really liked James and Lilly together, I thought that it was really sweet how he grew up for her.
Snape may have loved Lilly, but he was to intereted in the dark arts and i don't think she really loved him as much as she did James.
And i wouldn't say that James didn't love her deeply. He let Voldemore kill him to try to and save Lilly and Harry. I think that if he didn't really love her, then he would have just run away, rather then stay and fight.

Hehe, I'm completely aware of that actually.. (I'm most fond of the books) The sad thing is that the movies have made him more, yes, sexy, I think that's why "everyone" likes him so much. I really like the inside of him, after having read about his past and such. Guess I got bitten by that Alan Rickman "fetish" or whatever you might call it! Hehehe, just playing along. Rather fun actually! ^^
Isn't Snape supposed to be around 35-36? Perhaps he would be even more sexier if they had picked a younger actor. Hehe.. |

Yeah, you got a point there. And then he wouldn't be a great character, he would just be like James, and I don't fancy him as a great character. Just as an extra. |
