**An owl post had been sent to everyone in Hogwarts on the last day of term before summer break.**

Dear Hogwarts Student,

I Gregory Lockhart, am inviting each and everyone of you to join me on a quest of true adventure and significance. In one weeks time I will be setting off for the lands of Albania and surrounding areas to hunt down some of the dangerous creatures who dwell there. Sometimes they leave their hiding spots and terrorize neighboring countries or even attack muggle or wizard passer-by's. It is my intent to take care of these menacing foes and anyone who wishes to share the experience with me only needs to send back confirmation by owl. I will then give you all directions on where to meet in one weeks time.

P.S. We may encounter the likes of vampires, werewolves, giants, graphorns, manticores, occamys, nundus, quintapeds, yetis, trolls, and different breeds of DRAGONS! Be warned, if you plan on attending, this will be highly dangerous but not to worry, I will be there to protect each and everyone of you and just think of the stories you can tell your classmates next year at Hogwarts and your friends and family for many years to come!

Gregory Lockhart had received many return owls, ten in all from other students who wished to join him on his adventures into the wild. He sat down with some parchment and quill and wrote to all of them.

Dear Hogwarts Student,

I'm very encouraged that you will be accompanying our group this summer to the strange lands of the East. We will be meeting in Hogsmeade on June 24th where a portkey has been placed and we will all be traveling to our first destination that way. Make sure you bring a backpack to carry items, unless you are very skilled in charms and are able to make your food, clothes, and other items vanish with a flick of a wand. Bring plenty of clean socks and wear comfortable shoes as we will be walking great distances for many hours at a time. Hope to see you there!

Lilith read and re-read the letter, thinking it over. She had nothing better to do, so why not go ahead and join them?
She grabbed a piece of parchement and quickly scribbled,

Gregory,

Yeah, I'll join you on this little trip. I haven't much experiance with dangerous creatures, although I do have a panther.

Gregory smiled as a group of about 10 other Hogwarts students started to surround him in a grassy field. Sitting in front of Gregory was a flattened basketball.

"Here is the portkey everyone, go ahead and grab hold as best you can, a finger will do!"

Suddenly a student that Gregory didn't recognize called out, "Where will this lead us?"

"Into the middle of a great and dreary Albanian forest. From there our path will be up to all of us and we will decide a direction once we arrive. Let me make this clear to all of you, once we arrive in the forest in a few moments it shall be WANDS AT THE READY! Even the most harmless of creatures might be our demise if you are not prepared. So if we are ready!"

With that the portkey did it's job and transported all the students to a dark Albania forest.

It was very dark in the forest and everyone had pulled themselves to their feet.

Lockhart looks around, a bit anxious it seemed and pulled his wand out, his hand shaking ever so much.

"I hear something around us. Footsteps! WHO GOES THERE!"

(Note: Anyone is still welcome to jump in at this point as I left it open ended so that many more people could be those who joined us at the port key)

*an evil looking woman emerges from the forest. she is dressed in a black gown. one could easily tell that she came from an affluent family. but what she was doing in a desolate forest, nobody knew.*

she glares at everyone... what are you all doing here? answer me!

Lilith glared at the woman then kneeled down and muttered "Ennervate." while pointing her wand at Gregory to wake him.
She stood back up and watched the woman carefully.

Gregory woke with a start and crawled with haste with a frightened look on his face.

"Wha, What happened! Who are you?!" Lockhart said looking at the mysterious woman.

Gregory spun to his feet and coward behind Draven.

A hand clasped behind the woman's throat, a man's head slowly emerged from a tattered cloak. The man leaned forward and slowly whispered in the woman's ear, "Slippery little witch 'aint'cha? Been looking for you for days now" he smirked. "I believe we have met before" his hand felt the woman's neck go cold and Lilith lay panting on the ground slowly recovering.

Lilith got back to her feet, shaking. While she should have been scared incase the woman attacked her again, she was just filled with rage. And it showed on her face.
In an instant she was a large black dog, baring her fangs and snarling at the woman.

*and the dog collapsed on the ground in an instant*

*the woman stepped on the dog's face and said "you better be thankful i didnt kill you..."

then she addressed the entire group "now, begone, lest you wish to meet your end."

she created an invisible barrier between the group and the forest.
she was protecting her master, who was in a very precarious situation...

Gregory was shaking but he was able to revive Lilth in her dog form. Gregory then motioned the entire group in the other direction. A few gave evil glares to the woman but followed.

They did not stop running until they were out of clear view of the evil witch. It was no good though, they were still in the middle of the dark woods and it was only getting darker outside and the woods getting thicker.

"I don't know if we'll be able to find the port key again. It was to lead us to our next location." Gregory panted as the group slowed and stood around in shock.

"What do we do?" Another asked.

"We have gear for sleeping, plus we can conjure whatever else we need if you are capable. The only thing is we need to get some more distance but traveling in the dark might only lead us deeper into the woods."

Suddenly there were several footsteps surrounding the group, but it was not human footsteps. It was coming from all directions.

"Lumos!" Gregory shouted to reveal several dozen young Acromantula's surrounding them. The eight-eyed spiders were not fully grown yet but were still big enough to devour a the biggest 7th year student.

'WANDS!" Gregory yelled before fainting, leaving everyone else to fend off the new threat.

(I'm trying to really make this a fun adventure roleplay) Very Happy

The man in the tattered cloak had followed the group at a distance and came across a rather alarming scene. Curses were flying everywhere and it was every man for himself as the Acromantulas moved in.
"Incendio" the man shouted. "Everyone use fire, together now." A chorus of incendios rang and a rather large ring of fire seperated the group from the Acromantulas. The man let out a sigh as Gregory got to his feet. "Er I read your book in which you single-handedly defeated an army of Acromantulas sir. It was rather er . . . charming" said the man surpressing a grin.

(I'm actually playing his nephew who is still a student at Hogwarts Gregory, just so you know)

"Well, I knew everyone had it in them. I just wanted to make sure you could defend yourselves in case it was ever necessary for us to separate!" Gregory explained as many of the huge spiders ran for their lives while other were still burning and already dead.

"If I may ask though, what are you doing here, Sir?" Gregory looked at the stranger.

"Come now don't be hasty, the name is er . . . Moody. Yes, that'd be mister Moody to you" he snapped, glaring at the girl Lilith. "Brother to the one they call mad." he said almost as an afterthought.

Long story about the witch really and we haven't time now, but she comes from the purest of pure bloods . . . she has something of my mas- uh something of mine. A family heirloom one might say" he said with a dreamy look on his face. "Perhaps you lot could spare an old man some time and lend a hand" he added shaking his long hair.

"Ah but enough about me, what brings you bunch in dangerous lands such as these . . . contaminated with mudb- er barbarians?" he finished hastily with a misleading look of deep interest.

Gregory was unsure if he should speak but he was the one who had orchestrated this event...

"We are students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We are currently on summer break from school and were looking to expand our horizons about the real world. We have never had any consistency in Defense Against the Dark Arts so we thought we'd see more of the world for our selves."

Lockhart cleared his throat, his airy confidence was slowly coming back to him now, "What exactly is this heirloom you seek? Is it in these woods?"
