My books can tell you what I thought of the books at the moment of time i first read a part of the book.

My first book is actually in good condition, considering I have only read that book maybe two or three times. It has a slight up turn corner from being moved from place to place and aging.

The second book is in ok condition. There are finger nail inprints where I clutched the book once Tom Riddle started to attack Harry and there again whenI thought HArry was about to die.

Third book... my original doesnt exist anymore... I read it til it fell into four different pieces... my mother threw it away and got my another 3rd book... it is in bad condition too about to fall apart down the middle from being read too often...

Fourth its in ok condition well its a bit tattered. Its worn down from me not taking care of it...

Fifth *sweat drop* well its um... well... lets see a pizza stain where I dropped it in the box of pizza when I read that Snape was part of the order. There are bents, tares, and ripped out pages from my fraustration with Harry being stupid to Umbridge being a horrid little ***** There are also tear stains where I bawled like a little girl when Sirius died.

6th good condition... accept where Snape killed Dumbldore to the end of the book... the pages are worned and caked with tear stains...

wow. I am going to have to say totally opposite of you.

I think that maybe all of my books are pealing in one spot, and that is about it. There might be a food stain in the OotP, but that is it.

Yeah... I'm like Vasaver to a degree... I have the hard book set and the paper back set... my paper backs are in ruins... the fifth one bit the dust because my cat took healthy... wells... you know... and my poor thrid paper back book is in shreds because of my parrot at home decided to make it into a delicacy. Like 1-167 you cant read anymore then you go to 168 and there are chunks missing for awhile then I the rest of the book is ok... XD

But my whole hardbook set is in the best condition ever. when I got the books at first I took off the covers so when I read them they wouldnt get ruined. So perfecto books there.

I don't take care too much of my books, Harry Potter or otherwise, because good books are best shared. Books won't last forever so being obsessive-compulsive about its state won't matter.

My first book is in tatters because my mom bought the paperback copy and also because I've reread it many times.

My second book is missing because our maid borrowed it and run away with it. (Harry Potter books are that good)

My third book is in the best condition because it was just given to me as a gift last Christmas. The first PoA I read was not mine. I just borrowed from someone else.

My fourth book is fraying on the sides because of the hundreds of times I have reread it (because book five took so long to be released).

My fifth book, which I'm currently rereading as a refresher course for the movie, is fine.

My sixth book is also in an okay condition. It's on loan to the person who gave me PoA as a gift.

I've got all hardbacks because if i'd gotten them as paperbacks they'd all be in shreds right now.

My first book is in bad shape. their are sections that are unattached. the only thing that is perfect is the cover, lol.

My 2nd book is in OK condition but does have various foodstains on it.(I like to eat while reading good books)

The third book is unmarked.

My fourth book has wax stains on the cover and the sleeve has dissappeared. (i lent it to a friend and that was how it came back)

The 5th book I lent to the same friend and she lent it to her nieghbor. My friend moved so i've got to buy a new book.

The 6th one is in almost perfect condition.

what is up with snapekillsvoldemort anyway?

well, good question. ha!

book 1 had its plastic torn off the cover. now its so ugly-looking
book 2's paper is yellowing
the same can be said about book3
book4 has scribbles on it. but its pretty much decent looking
book5 looks the same as my book4

book6 is hella destroyed... with the leaves parting from the spine, and the pages crumpled, and the cover crumpled as well as torn from the spine...

but thats how much i love my HP books... theyre worn out from frequent reading

condition of books

1-4 worn out, especially because they're my country's edition, so they have a soft cover. the other two are in good condition. a little tattered in the edges and with some chocolate smudges, but they're ok overall.

The first book I can't find anywhere so we've had to borrow it multiple from libraries

The second book is ok, but a bit ragged with stretch marks of me reading it too many times

The third book is great because we managed to get it in hardback, and there are a few nibbled parts at corners because I read it wihile my bunny was around.

The fourth book is a tincy bit broken with the spine but relatively alright.

The fifth book is.... perfect-o but a few scratches.

The sixth book is alright, both copies. We got two. One of them has a tiny rip on the spine and the other one is perfect.

I have a friend who has his all the hard back books in perfect condition. He's had the first one since he was in the 2nd grade so I am surprised that it's still in that good of a condition... I mean 2nd graders are messy... well the ones I know.

only ootp and gof are hardback... i only started reading the hp books after gof... so i was able to get them all in paperback. sorry im too cheap to buy the hardbounds.

my hbp was in paperback coz i was so broke that time i couldnt even buy the book when it was released (yeah sometimes mommy's advice of "save for a rainy day" is useful). since i borrowed the book from my friend anyway, i decided that i could wait until the paperbacks were released.
