Heyy. Im starting a fan fic with harry liking Luna instead of ginny. It all starts in ootp....

Harry had never really fancied a girl before. Last year, He was Tri-wizard champion, and he liked a girl named Cho Chang. However, she liked Cedric Digory, and Harry had seen him die last year. That event took relationships out of his mind...that and that Voldemort was back to power.
So, this year, he and his friends started a group, called the DA. Harry was the teacher at these meetings, and taught other students about real defencive spells. There was one girl who came to these meetings that Harry was getting to know very well. You could even say that he fancied her. This girl's name was Luna Lovegood.
Harry's mind was not in class right now. Professor McGonnagal had just turned a teapot into an owl, but Harry's mind was having a fantasy about Luna. And just as he was about to kiss that pale face, stare deeply into those silvery grey eyes and run his fingers through her waist length dirty-blonde hair, another voice, an annoyed voice, interrupted him. 'Potter!' Professor McGonnagal said loudly at him. 'Are you still with us?'
Harry nodded. 'Sorry professor' Harry mumbled. Ron, Harry's best friend was staring at him, grinning. 'What was it this time, Harry?' Ron whispered to him. Harry just shook his head. He saw his other best friend, Hermione, and caught her eye. She glanced crossly at him. At the end of the lesson, Hermione told them she needed to see Professor McGonnagal. Ron had to go to Detention with the Potions Master, Snape. Harry bid goodbye to Ron and set off to Gryffindor tower. He rounded the corner and... BAM! He ran right into someone. His bag dropped and his glasses smashed. Before he could get up, he heard a familiar dreamy voice say 'Reparo!' Then the person that he bumped into placed his glasses gently on his head. Harry looked up. Luna Lovegood was standing above him, smiling.
She held out a hand to help him up. Picking up his bag, he peered into those dreamy eyes and said 'Thanks, Luna. W- Would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?'. There was a few moments silence and then - 'Yes, I would like that' was her reply.
Setting off down the corridor with her, Harry said, 'Great, I-' He was cut off by another familiar, drawling voice. 'Look! its Potty Potter and Loony Lovegood!' said Draco Malfoy. 'Dump the Mudblood and The Weasel did you?' Just then Professor Flitwick came scooting down the hall. He started telling off Malfoy and his cronies for using innapropriate words. Harry looked at Luna. She lightly grabbed his hand. Luna leaned in. Harry moved his head closer. 'This is it!' he thought to himself. He closed his eyes. Their lips met. It was the best feeling Harry had ever felt. They just stood there lips locked, his hands on her waist, her arms around his neck. They pulled away when he heard a little snigger around the corner. 'Well,' said Luna, ' I'll be getting back to the common room now... See you tommorow Harry'. She walked off. 'Wow' Harry said to himself quietly.
When he reached the common room, in what felt like no time, Harry heard Ron and Hermione bickering. He heard his name and Luna's mentioned so he quietly ran behind a group of third years playing Gobstones. He listend to Ron and Hermione's conversation. 'I saw them snogging, Hermione!- Ron said irritably. -Don't believe me then!' 'Ron, Harry couldn't of been doing that, no way!' Hermione replied just as irritably. Harry stepped out in front of them. Ron started to grin. 'Harry! Hi! Where were you?' 'I- I bumped into Luna in the corridor.' Harry replied. Hermione rolled her eyes, 'Ron seems to think you kissed her.'
Harry started blushing. Hermione gasped. Ron was still grinning. 'Oooh, Harry you did?' Hermione exclaimed, bouncing in her chair. 'How was it Harry?' asked Ron. Harry wanted to say 'Great!' but instead he said 'Great. I asked her to Hogsmeade. Well, goodnight' so he got up and walked up to his dormitory. He climbed into bed, grinning, and had a little fantasy in his head that he was glad no one else could see.

The next day, Harry woke up and got dressed as usual. He checked his calendar. Tommorow he would be going to Hogsmeade with Luna. He and Ron walked down the marble staircase together, they suspected Hermione had already gone down. The Great Hall was full as usual.Sitting down and pouring himself some coffee and grabbing a piece of toast, Harry noticed that Hermione wasn't at the table at all. 'Morning Harry' said a dreamy voice from behind him. It was Luna. She was smiling. 'Oh... Hey Luna. Come Sit.' said Harry, sliding over. 'Ron, move down a bit.' Ron gave Harry a bewildered look, then gave Luna a double take and then grinned at Harry. Harry nudged Ron in the ribs. Luna sat down and also picked up a peice of toast and began to spread marmalde on it.
'So Luna, why didn't you want to sit with your Ravenclaw friends?' Ron asked Luna with a smirk on his face. 'I am sitting with my friends, and no one over there wanted to sit with me...I wonder why?' Luna replied. Ron snorted into his pumpkin juice. Harry elbowed Ron agian. Harry smiled at Luna. They talked about what they could do in Hogsmeade. Just then Hermione & Ginny walked into the Great Hall deep in conversation. Harry caught Hemione's eye. She grinned, then told Ginny something. Ginny too caught his eye, she gave him a small smile, turned and gave Hermione a look of disbelief. They rushed down to the table and sat down across from Harry, Luna and Ron.
Luna looked around and saw Ginny and Hermione. 'Morning' she said happily. Hermione grinned into her porridge. Ginny looked like she just saw Proffesor Snape save a kitten from a burning building. 'He-hello Luna' she said in a bewildered voice that matched the look on her face. Harry had finished his toast and Luna had also finshed her own, they went for a walk around the lake, after fetching their cloaks.
'So are you staying for Christmas?' Harry asked Luna. 'No, I'm going home, Dad likes me being home.' was Luna's reply. Then it hit him. He hadn't got a present for Luna yet...well I'll have to get one tomorrow, so I know what she wants. It started to snow. 'Well, I think I will go start my Potions homework And I'd better find my jacket for tomorrow. People like to hide my things. They think I'm crazy... See you at breakfast' She said while staring at the Womping Willow. She turned around, gave Harry a kiss, and set off towards the castle.
The next morning, Harry woke up early. Ron was also up, so they went down to the common room. Hermione and Ginny were down in the common room along with some more students. They left Gryffindor tower, and down the marble staircase. In the Great Hall, there was no sign of Luna. Harry sat down and began to eat until he heard a familiar, dreamy voice from behind him. 'Hey Harry' Luna said sitting down next to Harry. 'Sorry I'm late, I couldn't find my shoes. Those Nargles a-' she was cut off when Harry looked at her. She was the most beautiful harry has ever seen her. She was wearing make-up and her hair was done too. Luna was also wearing tight jeans and a large hoodie. Harry sat there gaping at her. So was Ron.
'You look v-very p-pretty today, Luna' Harry said in utter amazement. They ate chatting about Hogsmeade. A lot of the boys at the Gryffindor table shot admiring looks at Luna. Everyone started to rise from the tables to go to Hogsmeade. As they made their way out of the great hall, Luna held Harry's hand. As they walked through the snowy path they talked about Christmas, and when they got there, they headed straight to the Three Broomsticks. Getting a table by themselves in a corner, it was rather busy. Harry ordered two butterbeers, and sat down together. Luna laid her head on Harry's shoulder, he stroked her hair. After that they went to Honeydukes Sweetshop, then to Zonko's Jokeshop. Luna wanted to buy a Nargle repelling charm, but didn't have enough money. While Luna looked at dungbombs, Harry bought the charm for Luna, and stuffed it into his pocket.
They trudged back up to the castle, and Luna had to go one way, Harry the other. She gave him a goodbye kiss and went down the corridor. Ron caught up with Harry moments later and said, 'Wow, she looked great didn't she?'. They talked all the way up to the common room and Harry got into bed. Once agian, he got into bed grinning and didn't fall asleep until a while later... _________________

wow thats awesome! i've never really paid attention to harry/luna fics before cuz they were always..well i dont know, weird (least the ones i read) but this one i really like! keep it up
A few days later the weather took a definate upturn. Harry decided that that it was time to let Luna know how he felt. Harry wrote to Luna;
Dear Luna,
I need to talk to you in private, face to face. How about Friday night at midnight? I will come and get you. Just open the Ravenclaw common room door at exactly midnight. Send Hedwig back with your answer.

Luna's reply came back ten minuets later. As Harry suspected, it said yes. Harry felt nervous for Friday. Harry didn't know if he wanted to go "farther". Most of all, he was nervous about Luna's reaction. Finally Friday night came. Harry left the common room at ten to midnight with his invisibility cloak on. Harry set off to the Ravenclaw tower. He stood there waiting for a few moments, then the door opened. It was Luna. She peered out looking for Harry until he whispered 'Luna I'm here.' Luna stepped out and closed the common room door. He slipped the cloak over her and they set off.
They walked out to the grounds in silence. Taking off the cloak, they sat down on a hill that looked over the lake. 'Luna, I was wondering if-' but she cut him off. 'Harry, I'd like to be your girlfriend.' she said suddenly, giving Harry a weak smile. 'That would be great.' Harry replied and smiled back. The nervous look on her face let him know what she was thinking. 'Luna, if you don't want to, we won't'
'It's not that, just that this is my first time.' she looked sadly down to her feet. There was a distant howl. Luna moved closer to Harry. 'Luna, this is my first time too. I-' but he stopped talking when she started kissing him. It went farther than Harry had planned. Luna stopped suddenly. They both lept up. Luna was pointing behind Harry. He whirled around. Right there looming towards them, towering 7 feet high, a werewolf stood before them. Reaching for his wand, he threw Luna the cloak. 'Take it go back to the school.' Harry said loudly. She drew her wand too. 'Levicorpus!' Luna said, throwing the werewolf backwards.
It all happened at once. The werewolf jumped towards Luna. Harry threw himself in front of her. Then he fainted. When he woke up, he was in a bed. Harry knew he was in the Hospital Wing. His chest was really sore. Then he saw sitting in a chair next to him was Luna. Her eyes were red and puffy, like she had cried her eyes out. Madame Pomfrey hurried over to him and gave him some chocolate. 'Nice friend you've got there, isn't it, she rushed you up here.' Harry felt light headed.

Nice job. You're very descriptive of the surroundings, I like that - pulls me into the story. Dialogue is good, too. _________________ Hermione: "Everything's going to change. Isn't it?"

Harry rubbed his head. Luna began to stir. ‘H-harry? Are you alright I-’. Her eyes filled with tears. ‘I-it is all my fault’! Madame Pomfrey walked up to Luna and gave her some chocolate. Harry stood up, took Luna by the hand, set her down on his bed, and sat next to her. Next thing he knew, she had flung he arms around him and began to sob. ‘L-luna. I’m alright. Please stop crying’, Harry said soothingly between sobs, while rubbing her back. Finally, after what felt like forever, she reduced the sobs to sniffs.
Madame Pomfrey hurried over. ‘I need to check your chest. See if your cuts have healed’. Luna got up and walked over to her chair, and started staring at the wall. Madame Pomfrey started to draw the curtains around the bed. ‘You don’t need to do that’ Harry said glaring at her. She gave Harry a look, then looked at Luna. She nodded and muttered something that sounded like ‘werewolves’. Harry unbuttoned his shirt. His chest had three large red marks going across it. With a wave of Madame Pomfrey’s wand, Harry’s chest was back to normal.
Harry put his shirt back on, took Luna’s hand, and walked off to breakfast. However, Luna stopped abruptly. ‘Harry, I understand if you don’t want to see me anymore’ she said quietly. ‘Luna, why would I want to stop seeing you? I...’. Harry felt determined. He stared into her eyes. ‘I love you’
