I don't hate her, I just think she's a bit Mary-Sue-ish. And I think Harry/Ginny wasn't developed enough, but I like the 'ship in general.

I don't mind Ginny at all. I just don't like how underdeveloped that relationship was (and the character in general). It just seemed forced, like, finally making Harry officially part of the Weasley family. But from what we did see of Ginny, I liked her. Once she was past her Potter awe, she was an exceptionally powerful witch who was incredibly independent and tough. But, again, the actual relationship was just weird. All of the sudden Harry was in love with her for no apparent reason.

I don't personally like Harry/Ginny, but I agree, if JKR had developed it more I might not hate it so much. I can't think who I'd rather Harry was paired with though, past Malfoy.

Didn't really bother me that much, probably because they called one of their kids 'Albus Severus'. I laughed for about 20 minutes about that Very Happy

Yeah, I am against Ginny. I used to liked her but when I found out that she got married with Harry, I got so mad! I dislike Ginny and I totally don't like Ginny with Harry. She's too simple for him, I need to think. I don't say this just because I ship Harry and Hermione, but because I just think that Ginny is so not like Harry, should I say?

well, who besides Hermoine would have been better? That's the thing... women characters in general were massively underdeveloped. So if not Ginny, then who? Cho? Luna? There aren't many girls Harry (or we) got to know well. I'd prefer Ginny over Cho, and say she's about tied with Luna. And I'd prefer any of them over some random girl Harry supposedly meets or gets closer to later on in life.

Ginny is one of my favorite characters, and I am a supporter of the Harry/Ginny ship, but it just happened completely out of the blue!Unlike Ron/Hermione, which was built up throughout the series. I would have liked to read about them having some actual conversations alone, before and after they got together.

lol yeah the kids had some random names. I think ginny wasnt well represeted in the movie. Good actress but she was later portrayed in teh books as the hot girl around school, and frankly for the first couple movies Ginny was kinds scroungy and looked like an old lady >.< hahahaha

Hermione was always very pretty, and very close to harry. so naturally i thought she'd fall for harry. Not "look im the sarcastic, annoying, left out boy" ron weasley.

sorry....heh i dont like ron much.

My sister was further ahead of me in the series and when she told me it was going to be Harry and Ginny, I was really disappointed. As I got further into the series though, I really became comfortable with their relationship. I liked how all the relationships worked out.

at first I didn't think I would like how it worked out. I wanted Harry and Hermoine together but I think it worked out good. They are all one big family. I deff like Harry & Ginny better than some random girl.

I think Harry/Ginny is a nice relationship, and I don't see why not supporting it must also mean you can't stand Ginny or Harry. In the long run, it's little we can do about it. I like it anyway, and Ginny was never short of #4 or so in my favorite list (redheads ftw), so, m'yeah.

Personally, I hope I had seen more of the girls in the school in general, and more "everyday lives" - not necessarily romance trollcrap, but y'know what I mean. By putting action and plot, plot and action, action and action, and plot and plot, they sort of killed the way pretty much every relationship worked out (except the all-time favorite R/Hr, hands down!). Honestly? Hannah-Neville? The biggest line Hannah ever had was when she found out her mother was dead on the sixth book, and she got similar lines throughout the entire series, while Neville is a main character in my opinion - he gets big lines in almost every chapter, and in the end books he becomes quite an important char.

I have to admit though, that in overall Harry/Ginny was plotted well just to get fans used to it, not love it. Rowling knew we'd probably be disappointed by the relationship at first, but hoped we'd get to like it a lot afterwards. Probably that's why she made so much referance on it on the sixth book, so we could "swallow" it easier. Honestly, I hoped for Harry/Cho at the end of the story. It's a bit abnormal, but I like Cho as a character despite her wish to piss everyone off by crying all the damn time. She was a very sweet character overall, but then again, it's Rowling who decides, not us. Wink
