Ok, so im gettin a 360 before i go to college, and need some help on what games to get. Gimme your favorite games, and whats cool about it.
Right now, thinkin about GTA IV, the newest madden when it comes out, a college hoops game, and the new call of duty or halo 3.

Halo 3 would be an excellent choice and Call of Duty 4 would be too. Also, there is Kameo: Power of Elements, an old game that came out on Xbox and now is on Xbox 360.
And if you had an Xbox before, I saw my friend play an normal Xbox game on an 360. The games still work on 360's.
Remember, Halo 3, a definate and Call of Duty 4. Remember, Kameo is one i'm suggesting.

The basic layout is the same, the controller is just twisted around a bit. When I play a FPS game on the ps3 compared the a FPS on the ps2/ps3 it seems the setting are the same except the xbox trigger has the shoot button on the back button, instead of the front.

don't get GTA, after you beat it (after like 35 hours or so) you'll never play it online. The online play is horrendous.
Get cod4, and maybe halo3. Out of those two, there isn't one game worht owning.
Maybe you're into RPGS? I don't know but if you are, Oblivion would be agood beat. Most games are rents though, and are def. not worth the full 60 bucks they charge. If the games aren't online or aren't good online, don't buy them.
Games like bioshock and assassin's creed, while great and all, definitely are not worth buying. |

^seems like good advice...ok, got a question here. ps2 online play was free, does it cost for xbox?
and im gonna get GTA, my roomate(to be) wants me to get it, and hes helpin pay for the games, so i will

Yeah, Xbox Live costs $50 a year. |
You don't have to pay the straight 50 though, their are other plans.

Though if your xbox can't be directly connected to the internet source, it's gonna cost another $100 or so for a Wireless Adapter.

yeah, im gonna try and see if i cant get a few other games for cheap, might buy them used.
think i got a deal lined up....spending 408 bucks, get the 20 gig console, 2 controllers, the play & charge pack, and GTA IV, along with the headset. good deal?
