Is this possible? Well my internet/cable company has been moved, so we're getting new cables to connect our pc to the Internet. Well I have a built in HP desktop, that can't reach the cable, because, its in the other room. So i was wondering is there any possible way i could make my desktop have wireless internet connection.

You can buy things for this. I used them a long time ago when we had a very weak router with wireless. I don't know to much about them, but Linksys has things you can buy for any computer to access wireless.

you can get a pci wireless card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124139

or a usb wireless card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833129160

the pci card would actually go inside your computer, so you'd need to have an open slot for it. if you don't have one (or aren't sure and don't want to look) the usb one will work just fine. usb cards tend to get hot, though, and i've noticed after a few years of use they fail.

unless you have one already, you'll also need a wireless router:

that would actually plug into your modem and spread the access wirelessly.

OK thanks for the information. I'll ask my dad to try the USB Wireless card. I think it is more effiecient, and less work. I really don't want to open the tower, to install another card.
