Dumbledore is killed, the spell on Harry is broken, because the caster is dead, we all know that...
Snape then runs with Draco towards the end of the grounds so they can Apparate.
Now, why wasn't the spell that was keeping people from Apparating to and from Hogwarts broken? Since Dumbledore cast it?
Unless he didn't cast it and I missed something...
If this is a stupid question I apologize.

Uhm if I read it right, the spell was there since Hogwarts was built, and since Dumbledore was most likley not alive at that time, I do not see why the spell would be broken by his death. _________________

Yeah the charm comes from the school itself, not the headmaster. _________________ You chase your dreams not realizing the nightmare they lead to. |

DD had put up some of his own safety provisions, some of which he himself removes so him and Harry can enter at great speeds when they see teh dark mark. But the apparating charm was there before DD, one would think, ss Hermione says having read about that precauton in Hogwarts, A History. _________________

I think the best answer would be for JKR to write Hogwarts, A History. That way, we could find out the official way _________________ "Once again, I must ask too much of you Harry."

It was there before DD was headmaster, it just belongs to Hogwarts... like moving stairs or whatever. _________________

Dumbledore wasn't alive when it was built, but you are correct. _________________
