I was watching the film last night and I realised something I hadn't before. In the scene after Harry kisses Cho CHang. then they have this conversation;
Ron Weasley: Well? How was it?
Harry Potter: Wet. I mean, she was sort of crying.
Ron Weasley: That bad at it, are you?
Hermione Granger: I'm sure Harry's kissing was more that satisfactory. Cho spends half her time crying these days.
Ron Weasley: You'd think a bit of snogging would cheer her up.
Hermione Granger: Don't you understand how she must be feeling? Well, obviously she's feeling sad about Cedric, and therefore confused about liking Harry, and guilty about kissing him. Conflicted because Umbridge is threatening to sack her mum from her job at the Ministry, and frightened about failing her O.W.L.s because she's so busy worrying about everything else.
Ron Weasley: One person couldn't feel all that, they'd explode!
Hermione Granger: Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon.
Well Cho isn't in Harry's year, so why would she be worring about her OWL's??

Well yeah........I thought JKR was over seeing the production and stopping any stupid mistakes.......

It was just a minor change, not a mistake. Like making Padma a Gryffindor. They have said it was just to make the scenes more interesting and less confusing.
Because the film makers decided to leave out Marietta, they needed more reasons that Cho would be upset... so they they threw that in. Also, it was easier to make her the same age. You couldn't tell in the movies what year she was supposed to be in, anyway.

The first time I saw the movie at the cinemas, and when I heard Hermione say something about Cho worried about her OWLs, I wanted to jump on my seat and swear at David Yates for being an idiot and not putting much thought into the film. Of course, I had to control that anger or else I'll get thrown out.

I noticed that, but I assumed that they changed her year for the movies. Also, it was Marietta's parents who were working for the ministry, not Cho's. Cho in the movie is basically taking on the personna of two people. haha, I wonder if she got paid extra for that.

You know Let David Yates died in Voldemeont's vein . I swear i am sick and tired of this guys messing the film up .I gonna complain to WB about this .
