Flaw #1: Sirius let's Harry talk to him through the fire for a good 15 minutes, risking expulsion in Umbridge's office, but doesn't even mention the mirror which he himself gave to Harry for Christmas? That seems completely implausible to me. It was his freakin christmas present to harry! But alas, like the GoF "fake moody taking the long route" flaw, the OOtP wouldn't have been able to exist without this defining hiccup.

Flaw #2: After Harry gets the Sirius vision, why didn't anyone (excluding Luna and Neville of course) recommend he go to Snape? McG was in St. Mungos. Dumbledore and Hagrid had flee'd. So, they had no Order members. Again, I find it very inconsistent that Hermione would not come up with, let alone advise Harry to go to Snape. I know it says later on that Harry didn't think about him, but c'mon now Hermione or Ginny definitely would have had the story been consistent with their personalities.

#1. It's easy to forget such a thing. Harry only remembered it in the end when he wanted to see if it really was true. Plus the fire was a way to go to the house itself and make sure if Sirius was there or not.

#2. Well first all Harry was thinking about was going to see Sirius if he was ok. It didn't really come to anyone's mind to go the one man that they all have grown to loathe. Harry only remembers that Snape is in the Order once he comes to Umbridge's office.

Also I don't believe you can call it a flaw. It was meant to be written like this. It keeps the story going. Sometimes the thing you think is best isn't always what the main character/author is thinking of doing to keep the story interesting and continuing.

WHen McGonagall is taken to the hospital, the trio is scared and mentions how there is no one left in the Order to help them. This is because Harry didn't trust Snape and he didn't like him, therefore Snape was not teh first person on his mind.. At the last moment he finally mentions about Padfoot to him, but only as a last resort does he even remember that Snape could, possibly help him.

Both of those things occured because Harry just wasn't thinking clearly. And that was the point... he was all angsty in this book and acting irrational at these times. They aren't flaws, mistakes or plotholes left by JKR, they are just a different way the book could have gone based on the choices Harry, an emotional teenager and overall human, made.
