Well, it could have been Fred and George.. That wouldn't suprise me. Maybe he just learnt it from tv or something?

anyways i think that harry didnt have a talk, just sorta found it out himself, and i reckon that him and ron must have talked about it together at some point

I think he was all natural. He had lady skills enough for the whole Gryffindor House ! haha, maybe not. Well, If he did get the talk it might have been from Lupin or Black.

^true, i think if harry didn't just find out himself it would have been lupin or black. they were probably the closest thing he had to a father, dumbledore was more of a mentor.

Moms are the worst person to get advice from ! Well, For guys that is. It's always nice to have a close friend that is a girl because they'd be able to help you out more.

He probably just picked stuff up from the other guys in Gryffindir, including Fred and George. Ron was pretty clueless in DH, his brothers even went as far as giving him a book about it. But I think when it comes to "the talk" there wasn't anything official. Do parents even give "the talk" anymore? Mine didn't.. it was more like, "use a condom or I'll kill you."

I'd go with just talking with friends along the way. That's how most people do it these days.

Why give the talk when there is a special day set aside in achool for a video. Everything else is easy to pick up just by hanging around other, more experienced guys.
I have my money on "The Video" for Harry. I mean, the talk doesn't do much more than tell you the general idea of sex. No parent sits there and gives advice on positions or anything . . . or rather, no good parent does. All of that is always picked up elsewhere.

haha i think harry must have had the talk with someone like black or lupin, because they were like fathers to harry, and who better to teach him about the bird and the bees other than his godfather?

To ravvy and Zen... we didn't get a video. Supposedly we got on in fifth grade, but I don't remember my grade getting that, I might have been absent that day.... but if I was absent you'd think I'd have at least heard about it when I got back. In sixth grade we talked about AIDS and in 8th grade we talked about STDs. I remember watching a videos that showed the actual baby coming out in 10th grade Biology, but that video belonged to my teacher, so not every class saw that. Everything else I learned from friends. Ooh, that's right, I found an old copy of my mom's childhood book in a stack of old books. I hid it from her so she wouldn't know I had read it. But anyway, yeah, no video like you guys apparantly had.

I never got "The talk" either Gin. I do remember watching adult education films in school but I didn't really learn anything from there. My father had bought an Illegal Cable box at one time. I was 10 at the time ? Let's just say I learned from that...

I think Harry never got "A talk" probably just figured it out on his own.. I dont know if DD would talk to him about things like that..

We got to watch "the video" in the fifth grade. It definately explained sex. It also had pictures where we could see genetalia of both men and women. They weren't really "real" pictures. They were sort of diagrams, but very graphic ones. They were more graphic than in any health class I ever took. Also, they split the girls and boys up to see the video, which I think is hilarious!
