Imperio

She always hated the summer, but she hated this summer more than any other.

Bellatrix stuck her head out the open window on the tenth floor apartment. She was immediately greeted by the polluted air, drifting its way into the tiny apartment. From the gathering heat, the sweat on her delicate skin, to the damp hair sticking to the back of her neck, she decided she really hated summer.

Bellatrix turned away from the open window to the sight before her. She leaned her back against the ledge, letting her lush black hair fall over the window pleading for some cool breeze.

He sat in a small chair with the muggle newspaper spread out in front of him. The intensity of the summer heat had gotten to him as well. The white dress shirt he had on was now unbuttoned. Sweat dripped from his dark black hair, forming a path down his perfectly tan firm chest. With his right hand, he picked up the lit cigarette from the ash tray and placed it on his sultry lip. Slowly, he took a drag and exhaled it with satisfying smile on his face as he continued to ignored her.

The courtship of the musky heat and the smoky air in the tiny apartment was enough to drive Bellatrix insane. But he, Rodolphus - he was going to drive her mad.

She sighed and turned back around, resting her arms on the ledge of the window. She looked down at the busy street below with muggles going on with their busy lives. It amused her to see how small and insignificant muggles were from the distance.

Just like small ants, she thought remembering her childhood past time of crushing ants in the backyard of the Black's estate.

"Don't do it," came Rodolphus' voice. Those were the first words he said to her since they arrived together in this apartment yesterday.

"Do what?" She asked, turning around at his direction.

"What you were thinking of doing," replied Rodolphus without taking his glance off the muggle newspaper.

"Why Lestrange, I didn't know you care so much about muggles," she taunted him.

"No," he spoke slowly in a calm voice not taking her bait. "Knowing that it's you, you'll probably end up doing something stupid like falling out the window. Your body hitting the sidewalk, the blood, and the all those screaming muggles." He flipped to the next page before continuing, "While I get stuck with the hassle of going all the way downstair to scrape your dead body from the ground, clean up the blood and wipe all memories from the muggles. Oh, and the joy of explaining to Voldemort how we failed the mission because you cannot keep yourself from doing such stupid things." He sighed at that thought. "I don't care about you enough to do all that."

"At this rate, it wouldn't be my body going out the window you have to worry about!" Bellatrix snapped back.

Rodolphus neatly folded the newspaper and placed it on top of the table beside him. He grabbed the glass of red wine and leaned back on the chair, "death threats just makes you so much sexier kid." He said, taking a sip from the wine glass.

Bellatrix rolled her eyes at that remark. She hated it when he called her 'kid', after all he was only two years older than she. "Shut up or you are not going to be breathing any more."

He took another drag from the cigarette he just picked up. "Charming," he began with a smirk on his face while ashes danced off the tip of the lit bud. "I'm actually beginning to think you are coming on to me with those death threats."

She watched him blow the smoke into the air. She didn't know what angered her the most. The fact that he thought he had the right to speak to her like that or the fact that he thought he was better than her. Either way, she had to put him in his place.

She walked over, and pulled a chair right across from him. She took the cigarette from his hand. Ashes flickered off the tip as she held it between her fingers and took a deep inhale. She exhaled the smoke into his eye-widen face.

"Nice going kid," he commented, taking the cigarette back from her fingers. "Don't try what you are not capable of." He was referring to her childish display.

Their eyes met in a deadly lock. Hues of the same shade entwined together as electric rippled in the air. Feelings of long lost rivals of Hogwarts years snuck around them. The memories of her beating him for the seeker position and how he sought revenge by becoming the Head Boy of Slytherin. It was no different now than when they were children.

"I can show you what I'm capable of," he whispered, not breaking their eye contact.

Bellatrix sighed,"I highly doubt this is worth my time."

"Then should we make it more interesting?" He asked. "What if I tell you that I know a way to force you to do something that you would never do in your life." His lip turned into a charming smile, the Lestrange trademark. "Like getting you to kiss me."

"Technically bounding me to a chair and forcing yourself on me don't really count."

"No physically force is necessary. You will kiss me and I don't have to hurt you to do it," he replied, arousing her intrigue. "If I can achieve that, then you have to help me in my part of the assignment." He tilted his head over at the pile of muggle newspaper on the side paper. The boring task of looking for code words Voldemort assigned him to.

"And if I win?" She asked.

"You can do anything you want with me," he answered firmly, leaning back on the chair attempting to sell himself to her.

She laughed at his offer, "I never thought you were that stupid Lestrange." Thoughts poured into her head. "How do you feel about parading in black heels and in the nude?" She purred at that idea.

Rodolphus shrugged his shoulder at her fantasy. "You won't win." He said taking another puff from the cigarette. "Not even you can resist the Imperio curse." He smiled at the puzzled look that came across her face. "Thought so. Voldemort didn't bother teaching it to you. Watch and learn, kid." He held out his wand and muttered 'imperio' as a blue light shot out at the tip of the wand.

A cool draft of air came across her body, cradling it like a new-born child. A light mist began to appear before her. As the mist caressed her body, her mind was lost into the haze. Her mind was slowly being pulled into curse. She felt like she was three again when she fell into the garden pond. She was drowning, unable to move an inch of her body, unable to escape.

"Come closer to me," His voice entered her mind with an alluring sultry seduction. The ravishing voice captivated her mind, seducing her like a mistress towards Rodolphus' body.

She was so closed to him that she could made out the bead of sweat forming at the tip of his fringe hair waiting to drop down wistfully onto his overcast eyelashes.

"Kiss me," he whispered with the same charming smile on his face. "Kiss me like the way you always wanted me."

She leaned forward and pressed her lip onto his. She could taste the cigarette mixed with the wine he had. She felt his hands came around her neck and up into her hair. She deepened the kiss as a response to his touch. Her lip bruised on his, taking everything that he was worth. She wanted to dominate him even though he was the one in control. Slowly, he pulled away from her and stared at her with his steel grey eyes. The silence embraced them, seeking to comfort the sounds of racing hearts.

"I knew you always wanted me," he hoarsely whispered, breaking into the silence surrounding them.

"Don't be so damn smug. I was under the curse." She responded, trying to defuse her confused feelings from surfacing.

"Black, I never used the Imperio curse for the kiss," he confessed. "It wear off after I asked you to come closer."

"You are a jerk you know that," muttered Bellatrix. She couldn't believe she kissed him out of her own freewill.

He chuckled at her remark while gathering the newspaper. "Well well, Black. You were so eager to please." He mocked her jokingly, licking his lip. "Here you go, darling as promised." He pressed the paper onto her hand.

Bellatrix took the newspaper and marched over to the window corner. She opened the paper to a section and mindlessly began screening at the print while fuming at the fact she had just be tricked to kiss the most vain, self-centred man on earth. She raised the paper down to look over at Rodolphus, who was back to ignoring her. For a brief moment, he caught her staring at him and turned away from the paper to give her a wink.

"Ahhh!" Screamed Bellatrix and raised the paper up to cover her face

Bellatrix truly hated this summer.
