Welcome to Harry Potter Forums! Our Forum Rules are intended to improve the experience of our users. All users are expected to read and follow these rules.

FORUM RULES:
  1. No discriminatory, derogatory, or hurtful content or posts. Be respectful of others.
  2. All posts regarding other websites must be posted in the Free Promotion forum. All posts in the Free Promotion forum must also follow the Free Promotion Forum Rules.
  3. Promoting other websites via Private Messaging (PM) is not allowed. Failure to follow this rule will result in the removal of your PM privileges.
  4. All posts must be posted in the appropriate forum.
  5. Spamming is not allowed. Only make posts that relate to the topic being discussed.
    1. No one word posts.
    2. Do not make posts to bump a topic up to the top.
    3. Do not post more than once in a row in a topic. If you need to add more information, click on the Edit button in your original post.
  6. Signatures with images must not have the images larger than 600 pixels wide or 200 pixels tall in total.
  7. If someone asks you to stop Private Messaging (PMing) them, do not send them any more messages. Failure to follow this rule will result in the removal of your PM privileges.
  8. Spoiler notices or the spoiler tag/button should be used whenever content may ruin the experience of someone that has not read/seen the book/movie that the content is related to.
Note: Any posts with inappropriate content will be edited, and users that post inappropriate content or break the Forum Rules may be banned or have their accounts disabled. Any posts that are posted in the incorrect forum will be moved to the appropriate forum.


CLARIFICATION OF SPOILER RULE:

Spoiler notices (i.e. "SPOILER" in the thread subject) or the spoiler tag/button should be used whenever content may ruin the experience of someone that has not read/seen the book/movie that the content is related to.

Note: Content is defined as factual information that is available by reading/watching the book/film. Theories or speculation regarding the information contained in the book/film or future books/films is not considered spoiler content.

This policy does not apply to books/films that have been available for a significant period of time.
