This is just a thread I will continue to update regarding security threats that may affect you or come in contact with in the future.

Right now another bot was found hacking people on MSN, this usually happens when unknowingly someone enters there credentials (password and email/username) into an unsafe website. The bot then takes this information and uses it to advertise other harmful sites to members of that persons contact list.
Best way to be sure if it is safe is 3 things.
1. If your friend is not online at the time the link is sent to you.
2. If the first thing they send is a link, not a hello or anything.
3. If it contains your partial email address in the link, or has an unknown site reference after the www.

Common sense also helps, ask that person if they are there, or a question only that person would know as your friend.

If you suspect the site is phishing, suspicious, or unsafe you may report it to Google from with in Firefox.
