I think the book was too short, especially being that it is the last one... What do you think?

Nope, it was perfect for me. I think she put in just enough detail to let us know what happened, but still leaving that air of curiosity.

the thing is, j.k didn't need to make an order of the phoenix size book again. she just needed to tie up some loose ends. It was perfect, though i expected a different ending.

Considering the new details Rowling added into the last book and the questions from the previous books to be answered I think the last book was definitely too short.

Same here^ Since it was the last book, i think JK Rowling should have put more detail in...

It was perfect for me. Not as long as OotP, but longer than HBP. We got everything we needed.

I suppose on any given character, there might have been a bit more, but overall the balance and pacing of the book was good. She had a lot of bases to touch, and she did it without letting the story get too ponderous and lethargic.

I thought the length was perfect. Yes, it could have clarified more things, but I always enjoyed creating my own explanation about what happened. One think I did wish was explained was Sirius’s death. Oh and maybe less camping out.

i agree with ^ on Sirius's death.. thts one thing tht wasnt cleared out.
and yeah i felt the book was too short as well. the book jus rushed through at most places... and they camped too much tht was indeed boring

I think it was a perfect size. Adding too much would have just made it draw out longer than need be. I liked it how it was.

the length was okay. what i found too long was ootp. the plot was so... scattered... it wasnt very well organized. i sort of thought it was like a book where pieces are just sort of put together,

The length was fine, though I would have liked another chapter at the end before the epilogue, but most questions have now been answered in interviews. Also, the camping was long enough, if she streched it out more it might have got a bit boring.

OotP was pretty long, but I considered HBP far too short, so DH was a perfectly-sized book.

I didn't think it was really all that short, but i for sure wanted the story to keep going. I wanted it longer, just cause i wanted more HP, not cause i didn't think the story was over or something. The more HP in my opinion the better. Very Happy

I also would have liked another chapter before the epilogue, just to give a summary about the re-building of the wizarding world and stuff. I would have liked a longer epilogue too.
