Who do you think will receive each partys candidancy and who will win?

I hate Hillary, so I'm goin with Barack Obama for Democrats...

And for the Republicans, I'm leaning towards Gioulani...

AND THE WINNER IS: Rudy G. Has the best legislative experience and is a strong leader that can move the country in the right direction.

whomever wins i hope gives us good health care and does something about the cost of living in NY (and obviously anywhere else thats insane with rent) I will have to move to a 2 bedroom when this baby is born and will be paying $ 1700.00 a month on one paycheck with 2 kids.

either that or it may be time for ravvy to become a moose loving canuck.

but even though i feel guliani would not do that i think he is a good canidate. i dislike hillary and feel in this time of terrorists a female is not a good idea for our country's leader. it will put us as #1 target for those woman hating terrorists. i dont know much about obama so i cant say. but i feel it is time for a change, bush started out doing the right thing, protecting our country but he got lost in a cause that is not our problem, and this oil crisis is insane.

there are elderly and middle class people not to mention obviously the poor who absolutely cant afford oil.

I think that it is rather lame to say that a female would amke an insuficiant president in a time of terrorists. First of all, sex doesn't matter. That skill to lead a country is what matters. Second of all, terrorism is not ever going to go away. It is always going to be there. No matter what era it is, it will be a time of terrorists. They will always be lurking. This war on terrorism is a farce that was created for people with a larger agenda. 9/11 was a stroke of luck for this administration, because it got Americans pumped and ready to kill some one. What no one seems to realize is that you can't fight terrorism with more terrorism. Terrorism breeds hate, fear, and anger. MAybe a woman would actually be perfect to lead in a time when terrorism is a threat.

If sex doesn't matter, then the second statement I quoted by you wouldn't have been made.

And why would a woman be perfect during a terrorist crisis? Does she have better genes than a man in warding off terror? Does this mean she is also incapable of being a terrorist, as well?

i wasnt meaning it in a sexist way, i was saying that every country that hates the US neglects the human rights of their women. and i feel, IMO, that putting a woman into office at this juncture would make us the red cape dangling in front of the bull.

but...

if that woman was tough, and smart, like maybe keb we would totally pwn the terrorists. terrorists are evil and no amount of hugging will make them go away.

VOTE KEB '08!!

I wish Colbert was running. Sad

I hate Giuliani, he is a such a liar I can not even believe any New Yorker would still trust him. Furthermore, he is proudly being backed by Pat Robertson. You know that guy, who said...
"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

Another wonderful belief of his...
"I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is the head of the wife, and that's the way it is, period."

He also said, "Lord, give us righteous judges who will not try to legislate and dominate this society. Take control, Lord! We ask for additional vacancies on the court."
He was talking, of course, about the Supreme Court. The only way for a space to become vacant is through death or crisis. Nice thing for him to wish upon someone, huh?

A vote for Giuliani is a vote for Pat Robertson and his dirty money.

I would do my own research before I listen to one person from the internet, especially since she listed no sources. I'm quite interested in how Guliani is a "liar," and will be doing my own snooping around to see who this Patty McPat Pat person is.

You want proof do you... okay, you asked for it!

"M. G. "Pat" Robertson has achieved national and international recognition as a religious broadcaster, philanthropist, educator, religious leader, businessman and author...."

Most of the quotes were taken from the show 700 Club, which often airs on ABC Family channel.

Here is some more stuff on him...

http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/politics/2007/11/10/giulianis-good-news-and-bad-news.html

Did you read that last article? If not, I'll quote a piece from it...
"last week's endorsement proved Giuliani enjoys broad support and that even social conservatives would embrace him despite his liberal stands on abortion rights, gay rights, and gun control."

Throughout his run in NY, Giuliani fought for gun control and was determined to make NY more safe. He did manage to clean the place up a bit. Mostly by just throwing all the homeless people in jail at the tax payers expense, but that's another story.
After the Virginia Tech shooting, he spoke out against Virginia's loose gun control.
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nationworld/bal-te.guncontrol18apr18,1,7941696.story
But his opnion on gun control has changed since he started running for president, since the NRA tries to make politicians choose their side.

If he truly believed in what he claims to, he would have said, "Thanks for the offer, Pat, but no thanks."

I stopped reading when he was described as a Christian. But thank you for the links. And I did ask for them. Razz

Do you have one about Guliani throwing homeless people in jail with tax payer's money?

As for turning the money down...I can't think of a single person who would turn free cash down. I'm a hypocrite when it comes to money--I work for a highly religious organization, yet I despise religion, especially the one my company preaches. Is it evil of me to take that money?

As for everyone talking about Hillary, i wanna throw in my two cents worth. Do I think that Hillary is a good leader? No. I think that people will vote for Hillary because of Bill, a proven leader although impeached himself. Did anyone watch the debate at Drexel University? Hillary was a women amognst men during that and it clearly showed. She would contradict herself on almost every stand just to attract a greater voter support group. Hillary will run this country with an iron fist. Alas, I feel America is not ready for a First Man.

I'm not sure why you stopped reading. He wasn't descibed as a Christian, he is a Christian. I gave you a alink to his own website.

There is no "quote" to show you. He was mayor for several years. And I read the newspaper everyday that he was in charge.

So, if Bin Laden offered you money to back up your campaign, you'd accept it? If John Kerry offered you even more money for your campaign, you'd accept that, too? And keep in mind, when accepting this money you now owe them favors.

He didn't impeach "himself." A person can't impeach themself, but they can get impeached. And he wasn't impeached.
Also, what is a First Man? Confused

Accepting money from someone who is pretty much Public Enemy #1 is different than accepting it from someone who hasn't, personally, murdered or seen to the murders of many a people.

I stopped reading when he described himself as a Christian on his own site, yes. That's all I need to read. The moment someone has to use religion as an adjective to describe themselves off the bat, it no longer interests me. That was my way of saying "I believe you that he's a dumbass."

I'll be checking those archives about Guliani throwing people in jail for being homeless.

That's why I also threw in John Kerry.
Robertson may not have actually murdered anyone, but he might as well have, the way he speaks. There is another infamous quote he has, "I concur." He agreed with someone when they said thay 9/11 was a punishment from God because of all the gays and feminists.
The problem is, now that Giuliani accepted money from him, Robertson has Giuliani in his pocket.

Oh, ok.
Yeah, he pretty much makes his career and life around being a Christian. Which is fine, but the comments he makes are deplorable.

[quotes]
I'll be checking those archives about Guliani throwing people in jail for being homeless.

He promised to get the homeless off the streets. There wasn't enough money to house them or to even keep up every shelter, so he put them in jail. (He was able to arrest them on ridiculous charges, like solicitating and stuff like that.) It costs the gov't no extra money because it's paid for in taxes. Upon being released, many homeless people fled outta the city. So his plan worked, in theory. He did get the homeless off the NYC streets.

Hillary 100%

The United States has to get over being so sexist. You may not think that we are, but I see it alot.

Or else Obama because of racism.

I think those would be their main causes. Even though they won't be trying.

I think, but I'm not positive, that he was saying that the country shouldn't not vote for Clinton or Obama just because of their gender or their skin color.

What I was trying to say, was that it might help us get past racism. I know there is still racism out there, but it is because people don't actually know any African American people. But if you have an African American person running the country, it may help to cut down racism. Especially if he does a good job.

Not us as in I am racist, but as in the people that are in this country.
