For all of those who say Obama has been dealing with Radicals. Have you ever heard of the Keating 5?
Quick Review if your not aware of what happened
The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly intervening in 1987 on behalf of Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of a regulatory investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB). The FHLBB subsequently backed off taking action against Lincoln.
Lincoln Savings and Loan collapsed in 1989, at a cost of $2 billion to the federal government. Some 23,000 Lincoln bondholders were defrauded and many elderly investors lost their life savings. The substantial political contributions that Keating had made to each of the senators, totalling $1.3 million, attracted considerable public and media attention. After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 that Alan Cranston, Dennis DeConcini, and Donald Riegle had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB in its investigation of Lincoln Savings, with Cranston receiving a formal reprimand. Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".
Now does that seem like the type of Guy you'd like in charge of the economy? Especially in a time like this, eerily similair to what took place in 1989.
Yes, I've been quite aware of it. He was cleared of it and has talked about it a few times. I think it was mentioned during his GOP Nomination video.
You saw Obama's new campaign ad about it?
I think Tony Rezko ad is a bit better, I think.

A Different Member of the Keating 5 Introduces the Boss at Obama Rally
October 06, 2008 3:10 PM
"You don't get introduced by John Glenn every day," Bruce Springsteen said yesterday at an Obama get-out-the-vote rally at Ohio State University, as reported by the Columbus Dispatch.
Former Sen. John Glenn, D-Ohio, was -- along with Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. -- one of the Keating Five, the handful of senators who met with federal regulators to urge them to ease up on the savings and loan owned by contributor Charles Keating.
Hours after Glenn introduced the Boss at the Obama rally, the Obama campaign launched a campaign attacking McCain for his Keating Five activities. They made no mention of Mr. Glenn.
And yes I have heard of the Keating Five, of which McCain was complete exonerated, even by Democrats. But he was told that he used poor judgment in associating with that business guy, and he paid back all the contributions he got from him. I don't see how that compares to unrepentant terrorists, convicted felons, and a black panther preacher.
Unrepentant terrorists? Like I said before, he hasn't been convicted of anything so calling him a "terrorist" is slander and if thread ever gets popular enough you could be sued for it. Also, I dealt with the "unrepentant" thing but you seem to ignore things when they don't suit you. He's quite explicitly stated he regrets acts of violence, and when he said "I don't regret what we did" he was talking specifically about getting the message out about Vietnam.
And convicted felons? Obama said buying that 10 square feet of land or whatever from Rezko was a mistake and he shouldn't have done it. If McCain's allowed to apologise and walk away unscathed why not Obama? I think everyone's over Rezko. _________________

Oh boy, the aussie's got it all wrong again.
1) Obama dodges questions about all these people and has never publicly come out and said "I made a mistake with all three of these people and shouldn't have been associated in any way with them." He hasn't done any of that.
2) Bill Ayers is unrepentant. He wrote a book stating he wasn't sorry for it. And, no, it's not slander. Slander is saying things that explicitly cause harm to a person. Since every news agency is saying and quoting "unrepentant terrorist", it's not slander. So go ahead, sue me, I'm shaking in my spandoolies. _________________

""I consider this a mistake on my part and I regret it," Obama told the Chicago Sun-Times in an exclusive and revealing question-and-answer exchange about the transaction"
"I never said I had any love for explosives, and anyone who knows me found that headline sensationalistic nonsense. I said I had a thousand regrets, but no regrets for opposing the war with every ounce of my strength. "
"My memoir is from start to finish a condemnation of terrorism, of the indiscriminate murder of human beings, whether driven by fanaticism or official policy."
Probably should have read his book before simply reading right-wing headlines about it and pretending you knew what was going on.
