From The Leaky Cauldron...

Sean Biggerstaff Wins Bafta Scotland Award

Actor Sean Biggerstaff was named “Best Actor” tonight at the Bafta Scotland awards. Sean, who portrayed Gryffindor Quidditch Captain Oliver Wood in “Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Chamber of Secrets,” won the award for his role in the UK television film “Consenting Adults.” The Scotsman has the entire list of winners, and has a quote from Sean, who said of the win: “I only got the job two days before we started, but it was a pleasure to work on. This is really just the cherry on the cake.” Also attending the awards tonight in Glasgow, Scotland was actor Robbie Coltrane, who plays Hagrid in the Harry Potter films.

Bafta stands for British Academy of Film and Television Arts. It's a pretty big deal that he won this award, it's fairly elite... the Baftas are the British version of the Oscars and Emmys.

I always thought he did a great job with Wood. I wish they would have kept him and quidditch in PoA. He could have really had some great camera time. I think that would have been awesome.

I love him!!! I wish he had been in the 3rd movie also. And I agree it doesn't really matter if he has a beard or not *stares along with Arabella*
