I for one cried....oh, I lost count. I cried over the most ridiculous things too, like Harry's wand breaking, for instance. I think the only person that I didn't cry over was Colin Creevey only because it was so random and came out of no where. I cried myself to sleep for two weeks after Fred (the love of my life) died. I had to reread that a few times just to make sure that I got it right. Every time James was mentioned, I got a little teary eyed, and I couldn't stop crying when they went to Godrics Hollow.

When I finished the book, I sobbed and ran to my mom, hahahaha. Is that normal for a 16 year old? I think that it is just that you get attached to the characters, and when something happens to them, it just effects you that way.

Oh, I cried several times. Most of all about my beloved Snape. And also about Dobby and the book ending and about Harry going ''home'' and defeating Voldy and stuff like that.
I think it IS a bit weird how so many people care about *cough* fictional *cough* characters, love them and cry about them. But it is also so sonderful, isn't it?

I think only Dobby and Snape (with Snape's story) made me cry. I still blubber reading Dobby's death.

Thanks! I like a lot myself, it really explains who I am Wink
I am just really connected to all of the characters, and when they die or get hurt, it hurts me.

I cried when Dobby died too!!! That sentence about his eyes was the saddest sentence in all of Harry Potter. I was just in shock when Snape died, but I was pretty upset about it afterwards. The scene where Harry has the Resurrection Stone made my eyes tear up too.

And yeah, nice avatar! Harry Potter IS my social life Razz

The only death that I cried about was Dobby's. When I reread DH, I skip that part lol

I sobbed throughout most of the book. Everything with Snape was just...wow.

When he died, and he asked Harry to look into his eyes, that was so overpowering. He wanted to see Lily's eyes before he died...it's just...awww Snapey!!

I cried a lot, well not like a baby, but softly. I cried of happiness when Harry ended Voldemort up. I cried with sadness when the series was over, and of course I cried in other parts of the books.

You have no idea how sad I was over Fred. My mom said I was being absolutely ridiculous. When I read it, I couldnt believe it, I had to read it over a few times. I sobbed, like completely bawling. I cried my self to sleep for two weeks after Fred. It wasn't fair, there was no point in Fred dying.

As for Lupin and Tonks, swimcoc12, I somewhat understand. Them dying was supposed to reflect what happened to Harry. Atleast we know their child is going to end up in good hands. I was still upset about it. Also, thanks about the avatar, its completely true.

I have to say that the only death I didn't cry over was Colin Creevey. Only because it was so random and out of no where I didnt have any time to react...

It's ridiculous how many times I cried during this book.

The part I cried the most was when Harry got out the Resurrection Stone and saw all the people that died, including his mother. And when they were talking to him and saying "oh you've been so brave," I just couldn't stop crying! It was terrible. I also cried too during the talk that Harry and Dumbledore had in the realm between life & death.

It was just really sad and different to see how grown up Harry is now. As I was reading, I would remember Harry in the 1st book and he was just so little and innocent, it broke my heart. I felt like he was a brother of mine and suddenly he's all grown up. I never understood why parents cry when their children grow up, but I think now I do. It was very sad for me. It was my favourite book out of the series though Smile

I just finished re-reading this book and I can't believe how many times I cried....

I cried when Dobby died and when Harry was burying him.

I cried when Fred died.... and everytime Fred was mentioned after that. (I had to put down the book and stop till I quit crying, I couldn't see.)

I even cried when Snape died and I didn't expect to.... and I cried during the Prince's Tale chapter.

I didn't cry when Harry saw Lupin and Tonks' (or Colin's) bodies, I guess it was just cuz they were just all of a sudden dead and Harry didn't witness them die.

Edit:I just realized that I forgot one.... I cried when McGonagall screamed 'NO!' when Hagrid brought Harry's body out of the forest.... that just seemed really sad to me.

How could you not cry when Snape died? When he asked Harry to look into his eyes, I lost it. He wanted to see Lily's eyes before he died. It was overwhelming to me. I love Snape, I always knew that he would turn out to be a good guy. I just loved figuring out everything out about him, same with Dubledore in this book.

^ Oh, I agree. It's like Snape was the most important character in the book (well, at least for me, he was). Smile

Oh, I didn't cry when Snape died... I had never gotten emotionally attached to him as a character. Now Fred on the other hand... he'll always be my brother-in-law....

When I read Snapes death, I was like "Wow. He's dead. Now lets get to the fight scene" It's different now that I know why he wanted to see Harry's eyes. But I still don't cry.
