So, for those of you who could comprehend the philisophical mindfuck, how'd you like this book?
To me, it is one of the premier books I've ever read in my life. Orwell's prose is so excruciatingly captivating and inspiring, I could keep reading when I wasn't fully engaged in the plot. In many ways, this book has influenced my own writing, and has prompted me to siphon some of his elements and combine them with my own to achieve a cumulative effect that I am so far proud of.
It was a good read. Not sure how much I liked his style though, definitely not enough to emulate it. but if we all picked the same style that would be boring lol. at first I didn't like the ending, but after I thought about it I saw why it had to be that way. _________________ They say home is where the heart is, so your real home's in your chest. --Captain Hammer
