New dinosaur species named after Hogwarts

A new species of dinosaur has been discovered. The species is named 'Dracorex hogwartsia' after Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A replica of the dino skull is on exhibit at the Pennsylvania State Museum. On May 22, the Pennsylvania Satellite News Service will have a special live video feed to the Pennsylvania Historical Museum where paleontologist Robert Sullivan will describe the naming of the
species.

Interesting..lol Laughing

More Information on the Dinosaur

The other day we reported that a newly discovered dinosaur was to be named after Hogwarts. Today we have additional information on Dracorex hogwartsia, including a picture.

The dinosaur received its name thanks to its dragon-like features found on the skull that was discovered in the earth two years ago. It is a member of the pachycephalosaur family, and its name comes from the Latin words draco (dragon) and rex (king).

Jo was asked to comment on the species' name, and was thrilled:
The naming . . . is easily the most unexpected honour to have come my way since the publication of the Harry Potter books," she said in a written statement.

I guess the paleontologist was a potter fan. A dinosaur named after Hogwarts? Who would have thought of it? Laughing

Yeah, I've read about it too. How funny and at the same time great. A dinosaur named after Hogwarts!

I'd love to see it though ...

Dracorex hogwartsia was a dinosaur from our imagination, and when he comes it's what we call a dinosaur sensation!!

Dracorex hogwartsia shows us lots of things like how to play pretend! ABC's, and 123's and how to be a friend

Dracorex hogwartsia comes to play with us whenever we may need him
Dracorex hogwartsia can be your friend too if you just make-believe him!

Dracorex hogwartsia is a thousand times hotter than Barney. He should have his own show!

Yeah, this was announced ages ago.
Wasn't there also an asteroid or a meteor (can't remember which?) named after JKR too?
