So I finished the 7th book and there were two things that I don't think have been explained:
1) How did Harry's parents provide him with so much money?
2) How did they defy Voldemort 3 times?
Can anyone tell me if I've missed something?????

I don't think that it is important that his parents left him a small fortune. I just assume that most of the money was inherited from James's parents, who Jo has said died before Harry was born. I also don't see James and Lily squandering their money on more than what they need, esspecially during such a dark time as the one that they lived in. They probably just put most of the money they earned into the bank.
I assume that you are asking how the trio defied Voldemort three times? Jo has stressed that the trio so easily defied Voldemort because of his own arrogance. He would never even take the time to imagine that a few kids could defy him, and every time is happened he was dumbfounded by it. I'm not sure if I can explain it like Jo. I'll see if I can find a quote.

well jk said in the books that nevilles father was one of the ministry's best aurors. so i just assumed that they managed to fight themselves out 3 times.

I think that Harry's parents left him with
sooo much money because...well....maybe
if they were still alive they could pay for
Hogwarts supplies and all the other stuff.
I dont know how they defended them three time though.
