And I'm not just talking about in the Harry Potter universe, but just in general.

For me it would have to be the Dragon. Probably followed by a Werewolf.

They both scream power and savagery to me. However, a Dragon could be on the intelligent side. Whereas a Werewolf is usually just a wild beast who knows what he or she does. To me they are the most interesting creatures out there.

i love dragons too... esp since i read eragon!!!

ive always loved mermaids too (even dreamed of being one when i was a kid...)

pixies, or tiny little fairies, are cute too... and elves are cool... (not the dobby kind of elves, but the fair folk in general)

i wrote a story (well more like just the introduction of a story) which revolved around 4 races: elves (who were created out of air), dwarves (created out of stone), mermaids (created out of water), and dragons (created out of fire)... and about how they created a race who embodied all the 4 elements - the human race.... and how this human race was going to shape history....

nothing... just something which entered my mind. so i thought id write a story... but unfortunately ive never been able to continue it, as always... because i never get to finish any of my stories anyway. that's the beauty of having hbp as an author - the author who never gets to finish her books.

i would say mermaid too because what little girl didnt like the little mermaid, but i have a phobia of drowning so i'd say a unicorn. lol

Elves, because they are gracefull, elegant, powerful, charming, easy going.. Man I would mary one in a second if they really exsisted!lol
