i have a theory about the potters house, and why it blew up after Harry and the potters were attacked by Voldemort, when harry gets angry, as well know, things happen that even he cant explain, in P.O.A Aunt marge makes some awful comments about Harrys parents, in sheer rage he makes her swell up and float away, (the juries out whether she would have actually popped and died,) but the point is that when a 1 year old infant sees a nasty man (voldemort) barge into his room and murder his screaming mother, he is likely at the very least to throw a terrified tantrum! 1 year olds are very emotional, even though they do not fully understand what was going on,
i think after Voldemort tried to blast him with his wand, harry Bawled in fear and fright and maybe anger, but the house, like Aunt Marge, got bigger and bigger and blew itself apart and fell to pieces, remmeber in philosophers stone at the beginning, Harry said something like, dont worry, im not going to blow up the house, (or somthing like that)
anyway that my theory, does anyone have any feedback?
Well, it's posible... but wouldn't it be more logical if Voldy was the one who was blown up?
I think it was just the reflection of the spell that caused it... _________________ Nederlands!!
Well, I guess that if it was Harry it would mean that Harry was really powerfull or something, because he was just one year old... _________________ Nederlands!!
I've actually been thinking about this for a while now, and I think the Potter's house was blown up because of the curse gone wrong. Otherwise, the AK curse doesn't blow anyone or anything up. It had to have happened when the AK curse went wrong and didn't kill Harry.
DH chapter 17 (from Voldemort's memory of the attack):
Quote:
He forced the door open, cast aside the chair and boxes hastily piled against it with one lazy wave of his wand… and there she stood, the child in her arms.
At the last sight of him, she dropped her son into the crib behind her and threw her arms wide, as if this would help, as if in shielding him from sight she hoped to be chosen instead…
"Not Harry, not Harry, please not Harry!"
"Stand aside, you silly girl… stand aside now."
"Not Harry, please no, take me, kill me instead – "
"This is my last warning – "
"Not Harry! Please… have mercy… have mercy… Not Harry! Not Harry! Please – I'll do anything – "
"Stand aside. Stand aside, girl!"
He could have forced her away from the crib, but it seemed more prudent to finish them all…
The green light flashed around the room and she dropped like her husband.
The child had not cried all this time. He could stand, clutching the bars of his crib and he looked up into the intruder's face with a kind of bright interest, perhaps thinking that it was his father who hid beneath the cloak, making more pretty light, and his mother would pop up any moment, laughing –
He pointed the wand very carefully into the boy's face. He wanted to see it happen, the destruction of this one, inexplicable danger. The child began to cry. It had seen that he was not James. He did not like it crying, he had never been able to stomach the small ones whining in the orphanage –
"Avada Kedavra!"
And then he broke; He was nothing, nothing but pain and terror, and he must hide himself, not here in the rubble of the ruined house, where the child was trapped and screaming, but far away… far away…

But it would also make sense that the house was just blown off as a reflection of the spell cast by Lord Voldemort. _________________
