...that Nicolas Flamel died at age 666? I mean, considering the symbolism that surrounds that number, do you think there was maybe some kind of evil or foreboding that was supposed to be surrounding the fact that he died at age 666? _________________ |

I forget which page (I dont' have the book with me), but it's when hermione brings out the book. "Nicholas Flamel, the only known maker pf the Sorcerer's Stone...recently celebrated his six hundred and sixty fifth birthday." I imagine he probably died at age 666 with that elixer. He had enough elixer to set his affairs in order, then he died. _________________ |

you cannot assume he dies when he was 666 years old, when it isn't stated in the book... may be he had a couple of months or a couple of years... you don't know... _________________ Sonita |

Yeah, but why not say he's 724 or 342? Why specifiaclly 665 if it has no connection to 666? _________________ |

It didn't have to be mentioned in the other books.
It was specific to THAT one.
Maybe JKR put it in there as a little joke, to see if anyone would notice. _________________ "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." - Sirius Black |

Highly doubtful.
There hasn't been any mention of Flamel nor the Stone since the first book, so why all of a sudden bring it up in the seventh? _________________ "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." - Sirius Black |

eh true i guess. there really isn't a point in it. but i still think it would be cool to learn about it. _________________ Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

Wow. I never thought of that. But I guess since 666 is related to the Devil/evil, and Voldemort is evil, Nicolas Flamel and Voldemort are indirectly connected. Voldemort also indirectly killed Flamel too. I think its just a coincidence though, I doubt Flamel will be mention in the 7th book. But I could be wrong. Thats an interesting fact though. Kodos for noticing. _________________ <333 Raychul |
