Claire snorted loudly, but managed to pass it off as a violent sneeze, when she saw Ethan laugh at Hermione for being muggleborn, it was pathetic the way that no one born into a Slytherin family could ever see differently, it made her angry. She wondered why the girl had even acknowledged that Ethan boy when he asked her to dance. Dolt, she thought.

Claire had had enough. She got up, and ran over to where Ethan was standing.
"Hey," she said, "Why exactly did you say that? Just because she hasn't got magical parents, doesn't mean you have the right to go dumping on her. That's about the lowest thing you could do, call a muggleborn that word. You have the foulest mouth ever. Rot in a sack." she said. She drew her wand. "ROT. IN. A. SACK." she repeated, alot louder this time, thus drawing tons of stares.

Natalie glared at Ethan for his comment. It was low and vile. ' That stupid stuckup prick!' she thought angrily as she stalked over in his direction. She noticed that another girl had reached him before she had and got near just in time to hear her yell "ROT. IN. A .SAC.". Although Natalie surely wasn't alone, because an awkward silence followed the phrase.

She walked over to Ethan and slapped him across the face. "Your a jackass! Not only is it rude to call anyone that, its disgusting that you would even use that damn word against someone just to see them feel hurt!" Natalie hissed at him standing near Claire. "I can't believe I even said yes to dancing with you, I only did it because even though your in Slytherin, I try to give everyone a chance before I judge them, and sadly, your just as greasy as your hair."

Claire looked at Natalie blankly, as if to say, I'm not the only one who thinks that, then. Then, suddenly, her expression changed. She looked at Ethan.

Natalie glanced towards Claire and smiled softly at her look of what she hoped was agreement and then listened to hear her next rant towards what was now considered scum on her list. When she figured Claire was finished with her bashing she jumped into the conversaion, intent upon getting a chance to yell at him for his threat and for the put downs he was throwing at Hermione.
" Don't threaten me you stupid prick!" Natalie yelled. " You might want to remember that you asked this "mudblood" to dance! As for you supporting Voldemort" she spat, " I really couldn't care less, all I can say is that your stupidity is going to lead to your death or a lifes stay in Azkaban."
" You are a unconsiderate dimwit with a complete lack of social skills that needs to be put into his place or "Rot in a Sac" as Claire puts it." Natalie finished with a smoldering glare towards Ethan, practically daring him to continue.

Michelle was one of the first who arrived and she haven't spoke a word with anyone, so it's time that's about to change. 'Ok I came here without a partner, i've no idea who to talk too, so i'm just staying where i'm an' I will not move an inch' she thinks with a little smile.

After checking out every couple on the dance floor, Michelle turned around towards the bartender. 'Hey little bartender sir' she says with a little giggle. 'Can I have a strawberry drink with a straw an' a little sunshade' grins.

sam walks down the main stairs and finds that she seems to be the last person to arrive at the ball and almost bashes herself in the head cuz the one thing she forgot to get was a partner. so she carefully picks up her red dress to run down to see if she could catch the last dance, dropping her wand on the way.

Sigh. 'Why oh why didn't I bring a book with me' Michelle thinks, it's not that she isn't enjoying herself *cough* but you know what I mean, right?. Well anyway, Michelle still doesn't have a partner to dance with an' if she has to wait for ten more minutes, Michelle officially is goin' to get a nightmare about marshmellows on a stick with little spiders for decoration.
