Willow smiled and with a small curtsy replied with a simple, "of course." As they walked onto the dancefloor, Willow realized that she'd never met this boy before. They began to dance together at a tranquil beat and Willow asked, "What's your name?"

Willow's eye caught Riona's flirty twirl and it made her smile. Of course she liked Nathan, who didnt? Willow noticed her eyes scanning his tall build, and then snapped back to reality as Dravin's lead sped up with the song. "He didnt look bad himself," Willow noticed.
She gave him a playful smile and asked, "So what made you decide to pick me to dance with out of the entire lot? A good looking guy like you surely could have had anyone."
Willow felt a lock of her curls fall onto her shoulder, and with a small wave of her head slid it back into place.

*Draven looked at Willow curiously.* Well, I'm a bit of a night owl myself. Usually try and find any way out of the castle at night that I can... Even if it means helping Hagrid in the forrest. *Draven looked at her.* Know anything about muggle music? I'ts a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine... That heavy metal is pretty awesome.

Suddenly, arriving fashionably late, Gregory Lockhart, nephew of the once famous author, Gildeory Lockhart walked into the Hall. He was tall, and carried himself an an exceeding arrogance. He wore expensive, dark purple dress robes, and his blonde hair was parted neatly.

Oddly enough, the 17 year old 6th year Slytherin student didn't seem to have a date. He was flying solo by his own choice this evening it seemed.

But before any onlookers could come to a certain conclusion, several 4th and 5th year girls from different houses clamored around him, all asking for him to dance with them first.

"Now, now girls." Gregory smiled broadly, showing his almost too white teeth. "There is plenty of me to go around but first I want to take a trip around the Hall."

Apparently Gregory was unsure if a small group of students in the corner had failed to notice his arrival, becaues it was apparent no one else had missed it.

Olivia Lupin enters the ballroom feeling calm and ready to party.

She was 15 and had black hair with blue eyes deep in thought.

She had also arrived alone hoping to meet someone there.

Gregory noticed the smile (laughter) on Draven's face and proceeded to walk straight through the crowd of dancing people, almost running into quite a few but he never broke stride or acted as he he had seen them.

"Draven, I see, hardly expected you to be here." Lockhart's said, his voice very boisterous for a 17 year old.

"But then again..." He muttered, almost in a knowing tone.

Lockhart's arrogant expression faded for a moment but he quickly regained his composure.

"Interesting, Draven. I haven't eaten a thing all night, was trying to get my hair just perfect, then I realized... It always is. So with that, I think I will go check the refreshments, I am a bit hungry now that you mention it."

With that Lockhart stepped quickly away from the dancing couple and the girls following him pushed their way past dancing couples to catch back up.

*Draven sniggerd more loud than normal, and gave Lockhart a stalkerish look, before turning his head, to keep from cracking up laughing*

As Lockhart approached the refreshment that, he noticed a girl who had also apparently came alone.

"Ah, Olivia Lupin, is it?" Lockhart said with a charming smile.

The girls following Lupin didn't seem to like this.

Willow and Draven had stopped dancing during the encounter. She looked up at him and asked with a curious smile, "What's that guy's problem?"

Willow noticed Olivia over Draven's shoulder and gave her a smile and a wave in greeting, then averted her attention back to Draven. She crossed her wrists cooly around his neck and resumed dancing with him, slightly closer than before. "I like a lot of muggle music," Willow told him. "Im really into their classic rock such as Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabath, and the Doors."

*Draven continued to dance with Willow.* Dont Mind Lockhart... He dosent know what he's talking about... Just like his uncle. Anyway, That's cool The Doors are some of my favorite. I wonder if the band will cover some stuff or not. *Draven glanced over his sholder at a Witch playing what looked like an electric guitar with no string*

The band was on stage as a brief period of no music being played filtered throughout the Ball. Suddenly a loud voice came bursting from the stage but it was not the musicians talking...

It was Gregory Lockhart, holding his wand to his neck.

"I just wanted to say congratulations to our lovely live entertainment tonight. I heard during the summer you all were supposed to be featured on the cover of WizStaR in the August issue."

Everyone looked at Lockhart with confusion and some on stage just simply shrugged.

"Of course it was I who sneaked up and was able to steal that cover from you with my exploits in Beijing at the end of June." Lockhart smiled. "I just would like to humbly apologize for that and let you know that I had nothing to do with getting you taken from your sought-after cover."

The members of the band simply gave him a fake smile and a nod and Lockhart smiled back, then leaving the stage to join his... groupies.

"Thought they would appreciate a public apology, I think that will settle their nerves and they might start to play half way decent, don't you agree?" Lockhart spoke to his group.

"Obviously Gregory," all the girls seemed to say at once.

Soon an entire quarter of the dance floor was nearly flattened as Gregory Lockhart began to dance with the group of girls who had been following him all night. They all danced to the fast pace song, each pushing each other as much as dancing, trying to get to be the one directly in front of Gregory.

"Maybe I boasted too much," Lockhart yelled as if he was still holding that wand near his neck to amplify his voice. "I guess there might not be enough of me to go around!"

"A teacher should break this up..." A few couples rumbled as they found a new part of the dance floor to enjoy their time.

Willow's jaw dropped. She looked at Draven giggling and said, "He is quite possibly the most ridiculous person I have ever met." Willow smiled playfully at Draven and asked him mischeviously, "So what is favorite classic of the Doors? Touch Me?"

*Draven smiled...* Well, My father's sister married a muggle before I was born, and whenever I go to visit, he and I listen to CDs and Records. He gave me a guitar for my 10th birthday and started teaching me to play. Last school year I bewitched it to controll the volume and stuff. My uncle loves it. *Draven said to her.* I'm just trying to figgure out how to get a muggle stario system to work here... I was thining about bringing it to Flitwik to see if he cant do something... I dont know what teachers and such will say if they hear muggle music throughout the castle *Draven smiled again*
