Ok, so I think I was struck by lighting tonight while re-reading POA. Lupin says to Harry that he has his mother's eyes (like everyone else who knew her), but this time I noticed something that had not seemed important before. It has been said that this little bit of info about Harry's resemblance to his mother will become important in the 7th book. I think that Lupin gives us the clue in book 3 as to why!
He tells Harry that Lilly was uncommonly kind, and could see the beauty/good in people, and such. This is what I think is important as to why Harry has his mother's eyes! Tihs is the gift she gave him, he has this same "power" if you will, to see the good in people, this could be a saving factor for both him, and some other dark wizards in the 7th book!
I am probably not the only one to notice this, and I'm sorry if I am repeating anyone else revalation, just putting it out there.
Any other thoughts on this? |
