Did anyone think that the patronuses in the movie were just like in the book. I thought they were great and I liked Hermione's ferret running around. So cool. _________________ HP & LV= DEAD

I loved Luna's little rabbit, so cute!!! And so fitting for her!
(pssst... Hermione's patronus was an otter )
But yeah, I loved the way they did the patronuses _________________

The patronuses were great...but did they actually all accompliish to create a patronus in the book? I don't recall, because Iremember that OWLS guy giving harry praise for his patronus during DADA OWL _________________

The only patronuses I remember them creating in the DA meetings, in the books, were Hermione's and Parvati's... I think it was Parvati. A butterfly. Maybe it was Lavender... _________________

I liked the scene from the movie type of view, but from being acurate with the book I don't know that it was exact because most of them did not make them. _________________ 12", Holly, Dragon Heartstring core

although in the book it does not say what rons patronus is, jk rowling has said in interviews that rons patronus is a jack russell. and in the movie they made rons patronus a jack russell. i think its good that the director is doing his homework (so to speak) _________________ .love.peace.and.something.else. |

I thought they looked so magical and cool! It really didn't look like special effects to me. _________________ Watch out! Insane Death Eater in training here!

I thought it was one of the cooler scenes in the movie, it was neat to see all of the different ones. In the book though, the only ones they mention are Cho's silvery swan patronus and Hermione's otter one. it's on pg 606 in the American hardcover version if anyone wants to look. I still like the scene in the movie though i thought the patronuses were cool and they were a lot like i imagined them looking in the book. _________________

I thought they did a great job with those, especially Luna's cute little rabbit. _________________ "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?" |

It took Harry longer than one minute to learn it. And some of the student caught on faster, like Hermione. And some of them already knew it, but perhaps they were rusty. Plus, some of the students had Umbridge teaching them, therefore they had never actually tried to the spell before. _________________

Didn't it take like 10 minutes to learn Patronuses in thr DA? And it took Harry a couple of tries. Wait, 2 days or 2 tries? |

Harry didn't get a full patronus until the day on the quidditch pitch, when Draco and his friends pretended to be a dementor, I believe. Before that he'd had about 2 or 3 lessons, not sure how long the lessons were. I don't know how many lessons it took for the DA to learn it, but when they did learn the spell, not all of them were able to perform it. Keep in mind, they had Harry as a teacher, who was very good. Lupin was good, too. But he sort-of doubted Harry could do it. Harry had more confidence in the students, and that encouragment might have helped. _________________

I know what you mean. Also the alterations to the Extendable Ears. They were only described, in the books, as 'Flesh coloured strings'. Whereas, the stupid film makes actually created an ear that can move and react its surroundings (ala when Crookshanks was about to eat the ear - the ear jerked). *sigh* _________________
