When Harry & co. are in the Department of Mysteries, Luna aims the Levicorpus spell at one of the Death Eaters. Harry doesn't even learn that spell until the next book, much less Luna Lovegood.

Yeah, I guess it's a little bit of foreshadowing, much like how there was no talk about Ginny's relationships and her disgust of Harry/Cho, which would foreshadowing for those who had already read the 6th book.

People who read the books definitely benefitted from the reading. People who watch only the movies might not have even noticed Ginny's sad looks.

There are a lot of things that people miss out on when only watching the movies. I heard one lady talking about how she was so confused after the fifth movie because they'd skipped so much important information.

I know, I'm always explaing things to friends who refuse to read the books. It's so aggravating. They don't understand why I love Harry Potter. I tell them, the books are so much better than the movies but they refuse to give them a chance. So I'm left constantly defending Harry Potter to them.

Good point. I also thought that you couldn't say it out loud...weren't you supposed to say it in your head?

yeah, it's supposed to be a nonverbal spell. The film makers fail.

Correction: The Films makers fail. I didn't enjoy GoF all that too much either. :S

Oh and, something else I noticed about the fight in the Dep. of Mysteries. In the Sirius-Harry-Malfoy-Dolohov(?) scene, how the hell does Harry manage to do non-verbal spells? Because we don't see him say anything.

DEFINATLEY!

Amazing, someone brought it up!

That annoyed me SO much, I really wanted to see Snape lob jars of cockroaches at Harry! And the way he was so angry in the book, yet in the film more hurt than anything... not saying it was bad, I like that bit.... not as much as flying jars though... and y'know in bloopers if it accidentally hit Harry then.... oops...

LolXD
