When he emerged onto the surface of the water, he looked at Makenzie.

"Is everything.. okay?" he asked, smiling.

Water was trickling down his face, coming from the long strands of blond hair in front of his eyes.

He jerked his head, and his bangs flew to the side of his forehead.
