(So...I wrote this a few years back...I need to go back && revise it...but here it the first chapter.)
“Come on, Evans go out with me.”
“No, potter. Why in hell’s name would I want to go out with you?”
“Because, I’m good looking,” Potter said.
Lily stepped close to him so that they were only inches apart, her eyes locked onto his and taking his hand placing it upon her heart.
“You feel that beating. It’s my heart, it’s filled with kindness, respect, love, qualities you don’t seem to possess,” she was speaking into his ear; he could feel her lips lightly brushing his ear and her breath caress her words. Never had they ever been so close; James closed his eyes taking in her sent as he tried to remember this moment.
“The only kind of man I will date will have those qualities, and luckily for me you don’t have one of them. So next time you even think of asking me out,” Lily paused and blew lightly into his ear, “don’t.”
With that she pushed him away and walked through the barrier on to summer vacation.

James woke with a start; the end of his sixth year had been haunting him all summer. They were so close he could smell her hair, feel her warm breath, and she had told him in a civilized tone why she would never go out with him. Those words had cut in to his heart like a hundred knives. He looked at his clock 3:00 AM seven more hours and he would be on the Hogwarts express going home to Hogwarts. Resettling himself he fell again into a slumber. Little did he know that some one else was just having the same dream he had just awoken from.

Lily stirred in bed, “So the next time you even think of asking me out,” she paused and blew lightly into James’ ear, “don’t.” Then she turned around and left, yet not before she saw the look of loss and pain on his face. Lily’s eyes fluttered open that look on his face was one that she couldn’t get out of her mind. Why had this hit her so hard? It’s not like she hasn’t told him off before, and plus this time she didn’t yell. Well maybe it’s because she kinda told him that he had no heart.
Lily got out of bed and went to her window; the sun was just greeting the morning. A smile played at her lips, she loved watching the sun rise it was as if for a moment everything was perfect in the world. Lily walked around her room making sure that she had packed everything in her trunk.
“Artimis, were are you, baby,” Lily cooed, her dark blue cat with slivery stars all over, and a crescent moon one her forehead came out from under her bed.
“Time to go Hogwarts,” with these words Artimis jumped and curled up into a basket. Lilly shut the lid, and made her way down the stairs.
“Pet I’m leaving!” She got no response; to her sister she wasn’t worth a response.
As Lily stepped out of the house she saw a taxi waiting for her she got in and began her journey home.

“Prongs get, up! Do you want to be late for our last year of school?” Sirius asked trying to pull James out of bed.
“Five more minutes, pleaseeeee.”
“Lily will be there early you know,” James eyes opened wide, he quickly tried to untangled himself from his sheets only to fail and fall out of bed with Sirius laughing him from against the door frame.
“I’m up, I’m up. What time is it Padfoot?”
“9:30”
“9:30,” James repeated as he sprinted across the room. Grabbing books, quills, parchment, and hurling them into his trunk. Slowing down James surveyed the room, from what he could see he hadn’t forgotten to put anything in his truck. Sirius was yawning on James’ bed.
“Are you done yet mate?”
“Hold on I need to get Figato” at these words James stuck his head out of the window and gave a long whistle, then stepped back. A Large Great Gray owl soared through the window and landed in his cage. Figa was a huge silver owl who despise his great size was silent and quick, he gave a doleful hoot as James shut the door to his cage.
“Now I’m ready, and it only took me 10 minutes I believe that my friend is a new record,” the two of them brought all of their items around them, then apperated right in front of Barrier 9 ¾. No one had realized that two young men had just appeared. James and Sirius grinned at each other and causally walked through the barrier. _________________ A vision of our tearless times discloses artificial men sniffing plastic roses
