C'mon read Deathly Hallows and then comment. Snape was good and loyal to Dumbledore 'til he died.

ah by the time I finished HBP I was convinced Snape was good

*Hagrid over heard him and Dumbledore arguing, what else would it be about besides Dumbledore wanting Snape to kill him?
*theory is that he may have already been dying from the ringcrux, or just valued snape's life more when he heard of the Vow
*he didn't even give Snape a chance to respond to the death eater telling him to "do it"
*snape responded very emotionaly to Harry calling him a coward. if he'd just pulled of the greatest inside job ever, he'd just laugh it off. but if he had just done the worst/scariest thing he ever had to do...wouldn't you be really upset too?

but anyway...read DH to see the truth.

Lol!!! Yeah I've never actually been clear with my opinion of whether Snape was good or not. It did make it hard for me to make my mind up about him.

By the end of HBP I was CONVINCED he was bad but from what I'm getting here it's otherwise?

I just started it this past weekend so I'm only up to like chapter 10ish or something. I only ever have time to read it on the train so it's gonna be a bit of a feat haha.

first off, you probably don't wanna go naming threads SNAPE KILLED DUMBLEDOOR, and secondly, clearly people, she hasn't finished HBP, why would you even comment on that.

You have to read DH to understand it, but...

Spoiler:

Snape killed Dumbledore because Dumbledore put the resurrection ring on his hand before getting rid of the horcrux because he wanted to bring back his family. The horcrux did something to him, so that he would have less than a year to live. Dumbledore told Snape to kill him instead of Malfoy if it was true since it would be less embarrassing. Snape did everything on Dumbledore's orders.

Spoiler:

Yeah, for me I didn't believe Snape was good until Deathly Hallows.

Ddore: "Did you grow to care for this boy after all?"

Snape: "For him? Always."

That won me over. Now I actually like Snape. And I know that he really was loyal to Dumbledore the entire time. He was a very brave person true to the end "Look . . . at . . . me. . ." Crying or Very sad

[/spoiler]

Had it not been for Lily he would still be working for Voldemort and have no care for Harry at all though. "look...at..me.." he wanted to see his eyes, cuz they looked like Lily's.

True, but he still did what's right even if it was more for Lily than for Harry.

I was pissed when Snape killed Dumbledore!! I really thought he was a bad guy. My Sister on the other hand, ALWAYS loved Snape..especially in the movies. She thinks he's creepy and hot, lol.

After I read deathly hallows I was kinda mad that she was right all along...but now I love Snape too =]
