Should we make A official RP?

We pick users from the RP section to be a teacher of a subject.
The rest start off as first years.
You dont know any spells beside the ones the teachers will teach you

Vote yes or no.

But before you vote please PM me for more info if you require it.

That's an interesting idea, but I'd also like to have unofficial RPs as well.

Yeah, I think if you wanted a completely fair duel or something, it'd be good if that was used as a sort of checks and balance system... you can't get too powerful. It also adds some sense of realism to it... a first year isn't going to be able to Crucio an auror.

Want to state some reasons why, instead of mindlessly giving your un-supported opinion.

I think its an interesting idea, and worth a shot. But how would you decide who was teachers and stuff, and what spells could you teach your students? it seems like too much to pull off, but its worth a shot i think.

We'd need one of the mods to run it and appoint teachers and stuff. If they're willing to do it, I think it's realistic.

Want to shut up, instead of mindlessly giving your supported opinion?

No, I give reasons for my opinions, and try to contribute, rather than just stating my opinion. I understand that saying 'yes' or 'no' in a post without a reason is borderline spam.

My appologies, but I get angry when I see unsupported opinions which do nothing but spam the topic. I always state my reasons for my opinions, and I want to hear reasons from other people. My reasons for wanting this:

1. We will still have unofficial RPs, so it will not detract from anybody who doesn't want to participate
2. It prevents people from doing unrealistic things in RPs
3. It adds realism to the RP

anyone else want to give their REASONS for what they think?

yeah, i think flame put it right. maybe they could have a moderator oversee it, and appoint teachers too. but the thing is, how would the teachers handle the new found responsibilty and power? cuz some will most likely end up abusing it, im sure.

That is why you choose people you trust

You have a point. Teachers have to be completely responsible, unbiased people that the moderators trust, and there really needs to be some strict punishment implemented if they show bias. Anyone should also be able to report the teachers for being biased toward a house or an individual.

Honestly: for the most part, I think the people on this forum, are nice, responsible people, and I think we can handle this. It would need to be run very strictly at first by the moderator in charge, just to make sure it doesn't turn into a flame war of "You're biased!" "No I'm not!", but I honestly believe that most of us are mature enough to handle it.
