| i thought it was funny, but it went on too long. if it was shorter, and then ron and hermione, got together, then i would have liked it. good idea....but drawn out too long. |

i agree w/ evry1 who said i was completely pointless. it was just an immature way for ron to make hermione jealoussss.. i found it very unexpected thouggghhhh

I never noticed that before because i didn't know what that was.
I agree that lavender and rons relationship was annnoying and immature. it's taking hermione and ron too long to figure out that they should be together |

hermione was always a bit of a dumbass too regarding ron. especially the viktor krum thing. i don't know, but that was a great slap in the face for what she had done. i'm not saying that she shouldn't have. but she can't be pissed because ron went around with another girl just because he likes hermione. hermione did the same thing. taste her own remedy. ron took the krum anttics for two years so a little payback isn't so much of a bother to me. i liked to see ron and lavender, even if it was annoying.
and i don't think that ron dated lavender to make hermione jealous. he was tired of beeing left behind. knowing that hermione had a fling was the push for him to go and find someone that wouldn't waltz around him for at least four years and not saying a word. because hermione has as much fault in their failed relantionship as he does. couldn't she say 'i like you ron.' things would definetly simpler. she's supposed to be intelligent.
and i like hermione. i just don't like the whole six years when she didn't do anything and waited for him to do something.

I agree with you that I don't think Ron dated Lavender to make Hermione jealous. He was tired of being left behind. He was getting teased by his little sister. He wanted to get some snogging done. Or at least that's what he thought he wanted. Then he grew up and realized that it's not all about kissing.
I don't think that Hermione went with Krum to make Ron jealous, either. krum asked her to the dance and she said yes. It wasn't like Ron was begging her to go.
The thing is, she couldn't say anything because she thought he'd say no. And she had evey reason to think that. She was his last resort for getting a date to the Ball. And during the Yule Brawl she flat out told him straight out that he had better do something. And he still did nothing.
I didn't think Ron and lavender were annoying at all. I thought they were funny and a very typical relationship for their age.

| i also thought it was a really annoying and immature relationship, but i think it was a great idea for JKR to put that in. Because a lot of people were thinking "Ron and Hermione, just get on with it already" but then BAM someone else came along. And the immaturity was probably JKR's way of showing us that they still are teenagers. |

That is how a lot of immature relationships are. Ron had no intrest in Lavender. He would even pretend to be asleep when she came to visit him in the hospital. I think she liked him, but it was very one-sided.

^urgh i know what you mean.
throughout the ron/lavander relationship. i wanted to slap ron, to make him snap out of it. to slap hermione for thinking that ron actually "liked" lavander. and of course i wanted to slap lavander for ruining everything.
..yes i was very emotional.
however i do see why ron did it. everyone he knew had kissed a girl/boy before and once again, it made him feel left out.

Annoyed me to no end...I was kinda mad at Ginny for acting like a spoiled brat and started shouting insults.
But I do still like Ginny, it was more of Ron's fault anyway - his jealousy got the better of him I guess.
Half Blood Prince would have been better if lavender wasn't in it, Ron and Hermione probably would have gotten together too.
I'm going to have a hard time watching Ron sucking faces with Lav Lav in the film...alomost makes me not wanna go and see it |

I REALLY THOUGHT THIS RELATIONSHIP WAS ANNOYING. I DIDN'T LIKE IT AT ALL! I HATED HOW IT MADE HERMIONE FEEL. UGH!
