Okidoki, here's my first Harry Potter fanfiction. Ever since November it's been The Animals of Farthing Wood so, here's something new .
Serpent Riddle
Introduction
Harry fell asleep after the final battle with the Dark Lord, who now lay dead like many of his servants, such as Bellatrix Lestrange, and his snake Nagini. Sleep came very quickly and only moments after he fell asleep did he dream something strange.
A Naga turned an alley corner, desperately clutching something in her arms. A group of people chased behind her. The dark haired snake-woman turned and hissed furiously at her attackers, holding a baby Naga close to her chest. The Naga hunters that chased her killed her mate and daughter; only her tiny three week old son remained. The Naga continued to expel air from her lungs, threatening to attack if any of the hunters attacked her or her son. One of them pulled out a crossbow and aimed it at the Naga. She hunched over, so it would hit something other than her heart or her wailing offspring. The hunter ignored her curses that were spoken in Parstletongue and released the arrow that flew into the Naga mother’s shoulder.
She shrieked and in her pain released the baby Naga from her arms. The infant hit the ground and cried louder. His mother was bleeding in the shoulder where the arrow hit her and she pulled it out before attempting to pick her baby up. However, another hunter sent off another arrow. It hit the black-tailed baby in the chest. The mother screamed as the baby let out a last shriek and died. The female Naga, in her fury, began shouting and cursing in Parstletongue in account of her dead son.
A third hunter decided that the baby was enough and sent a net at the mother. The large web of ropes pinned her to the ground, helpless to escape. A fourth took the baby off the ground and the female Naga could see the skins of other Nagas on her robes and sticking out of her bags. Before she could curse the hunter, the first one shouted, “The ministry!” and the four apparated immediately. The mother Naga, trapped to the ground by the net, was hugging her dark green tail, sobbing.
Another group of wizards rushed in, wands pointed to the Naga hunters, but they were gone. One of the wizards saw the Naga and went over to the net. He pulled it off her and the Naga went loose, hissing furiously. “THEY KILLED THEM!” She shrieked. “Killed who?” One of the wizards asked, backing off slightly. “They killed my mate! My daughter and my son! They killed them!” One of the ministers came over and put his hand on her shoulder. “How far out did you come?”
The Naga sniffed. “From…from the Enchanted Mountain. Half…half of my tribe is dead…all because of those four…” Before the bereaved Naga could finish, she began sobbing again. “We’ll get you back home,” Said a witch gently. “Is there anything I can go home to? There are too few of us left! Soon my entire tribe will have died out!” The wizards and witches looked about at each other. “I’ll find a place to hide myself.”
The Naga took off out of the alley as it began to snow. She was chilled to the bone and she found a building to hide. She got in though a window and found a huge gap near the fire and curled up. It was a miracle that only she could see it. In another room, a baby was wailing; she had an eerie feeling about what had happened and a voice said, “Mrs. Riddle is dead,”

Basically, the entire story is a dream Harry has and it gives a revelation he...didn't really expect and that Dumbledore didn't know about. Basically, it's from someone other than Voldy's veiw. I think you know already. What you've been reading since the second paragraph is all a dream. _________________ I'm quite an unlikely Slytherin!

~Chapter One~
“A moment later I first saw you, Tom,” Nagini said to the dark haired five-year old at her side. “You were only an hour or so old,” Tom stretched his arms. “I guess you followed Ms. Anderson into the nursery,”
“That was when I held you for the first time; you had such pretty blue eyes,”
“My eyes were PRETTY!? Yuck!”
Nagini laughed and she swished her snake’s tail on the ground. Tom looked at the colors and pattern. The pattern was like that of a Royal Python’s, but the back color was green and the markings were black and silver. He had to admit, she was a very beautiful Naga. Her long black hair was much darker than his; darker than ravens’ or even the night sky. Her skin was pale, but it gleamed like the moon, unlike Tom’s chalky flesh. Her face and eyes were prettiest of all; her face was narrow and gleaming and her green eyes were prettier than any emerald. Her human body made him think of the angels in the church room but much prettier. Tom couldn’t help but wonder if she was prettier than his mother!
“I’ve been seeing you every night since then,” Nagini whispered. Tom was silent. “Do you have something to say?” Nagini said. “Billy Stubb picked on me today…so I hung his rabbit from the rafters,”
“Hung his ra…from the rafters!? Tom Marvolo Riddle, how did you do that!?” Tom shrugged. “I kind of…lifted it up without using my hands…”
Nagini’s tail swept across the ground, pondering the situation. “What did Billy do to make you kill his pet?”
“He hit me!”
“So you killed his rabbit?”
Tom nodded excitedly. Nagini sighed. “Did you get caught?” Tom shook his head. “When did they find the rabbit?”
“After lunch,” Nagini sighed. “What are you going to turn into?” She muttered under her breath. “So do the other Nagas know what you’re doing?” Nagini bit her lip. “They’re getting suspicious…” She muttered. “Won’t be long until one follows me here,” She looked around the room. Tom was happy to have a room all to himself, even though that it was practically empty. “Better get to sleep, Tom,” She said. The five-year-old climbed into his bed and snuggled into the pillow under the sheets.
Nagini knew she could not adopt Tom as her own son. She loved the boy, but she could not be a full-fledged guardian. She wanted to get him out of the orphanage; perhaps being cooped up for years made him do such horrible things. He was like a magpie; he collected treasures or souvenirs from his victims at the orphanage, like Billy Stubb’s top. She made sure Tom was asleep, then disappeared out the open window. She crawled down the wall and came to the ground. Nagini was about to enter the forest when she was called. There were three other Nagas behind the fountain in the town. “W…what is it?” The male in the lead came forward. “We need to talk to you, Nagini,” Nagini felt her stomach drop an inch. What was going to happen, she did not know.
