I dont want it to end. I'm forever going to read the books over and over. I've watched each movie a gazillion times.

The last thing want my eyes to see before I day is the last page of DH.

Even though the books will stop coming, I'll never forget Harry. I've known these books nearly as far back as I can remember, and last year, when I was 11, I had hoped the owl would come with the letter from Dumbledore.

Truly, if I ever have children, I will introduce them to Harry Potter as soon as they are at home with me for the first time.

Farewell, Harry Potter.

I won’t say goodbye. I won’t say farewell. I won’t say so long.
I will say.. Please Harry Potter, stay.. (WTH)

Even though I just got hooked up with Harry Potter the year before last year I couldn’t let go. It’s like those 3 years of my life had been my whole life because of JK.

I know that Harry Potter will always be etched in my heart, and when someday I’ll miss him I will pull my heart out and say hello to the pictures engraved in it. (and read the books, of course!)

Dear adult she-who-must-not-be-named, (in case you have forgotten after many years, this is your username when you were still young)

If you are reading this right now (and obviously you are) and you already have kids; you have a whole set of 7 dusty Harry Potter books in your closet. Don't forget to let your kids read it-- i swear they will love it! And if you are already planning to write your last will and testament (considering you are already old) write there that you want your youngest kid to have your Potter books and ask him to do the same. If you did this already, good for you!

From
young she-who-must-not-be-named

PS. And oh! Let them watch the movies too!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh Nothing... Just a reminder for the adult me. If she happens to still know this website.

I want to write myself a note saying to read 'em then erase all memory of Harry Potter from my mind.. & repeat.
That way I can experience the excitement over and over again like new.

..If only. Sad

JKR was probably the best author of her time! She has made an outstanding impact on children and reading but just because shes finished the book doesnt mean tht it will stop. I'm certainly keeping my books to give to my chidren for when I'm older!

It's so weird, to finally say goodbye to Harry Potter and the very magical world that he lives in.

When I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I was silent for about a good hour or two and then of course, my grandparents got worried since I am quite the chatterbox. They asked me "what's the matter?" in Spanish and to be honest, I started crying and wailed that my favourite character (it's kind of obvious) had died and that many others had too.

I grew up with the Harry Potter series...I've been reading them since I was about 6 years old to be frank. Their world seemed and still seems, so real and through the laughter and the tears of it all--it was truly wonderful.

And so I say goodbye Harry Potter and friends, we will miss you and your adventures will live on in our hearts and hopefully, through our blood lines as well (hehe, who's going to pass on their books? or at least lend them, in my case >3 )

...-is still suffering from PPD...Post Potter Depression xD -

Sad It's so sad that the Harry Potter books have finished Sad
At least we still have 2 more films to look forward to, even if they are years away.
If I had a wish, I would wish the the magical world of Harry Potter was real, or for JK Rowling to write more about Harry Potter.

his is the addest I've ever felt about a book Sad

This is not farewell to the series, it is a new beginning. Now I can introduce the books to my children and we can read the books together. We can watch the movies and enjoy Harry Potter the way I'm sure JKR would like us to. I will never forget the moment I opened up the Philosopher's Stone, not the moment I closed Deathly Hallows and had a good sob. I will always be a Potterverse fan. I don't care that there will be no more new stories, I will just re-read the books over and over again.

Can I cry now?

Good bye Harry Potter. I will surely miss you.

I totally agree, infact its the only set of books ive read / read apart from captain underpants at a younger age. -.-
