Theres something completely romantic about the holding hands and the putting arms round each other and stuff. its so.....well....romantic Laughing hehe guess its because im 18 and im pretty much in the same situation ron's in so i can really relate to it and empathise with his feelings.

PLUS emma watson = perfect! Laughing

anyway, the whole ron and hermione thing is sooooo amazing and romantic and magic!! Very Happy

yessss im a man and yessss i can feel my man-points slipping away Laughing lol

Lol... good man. You'd never see a normal guy spilling on an HP kiss.

If you weren't like 5 years older than me I'd totally love you =P

haha, I love you!

I let out such a girly-girl squeal for a full minute when I read the part at Grimmauld place when Harry woke up and saw that it had looked as if Hermione and Ron had fallen asleep while holding hands. So sweet!!!!

And it would have been great if she had kissed him when he first returned to the tent... but I loved that she smacked the cr*p out of him, instead. She is just awesome like that.
But the fact that sthey kissed at all, I was so ecstatic. It was kind of a toss-away moment, but that's how it happens for real sometimes and that's why I loved it. Harry and Ginny's kiss was so fairytale... and this one was more real. Both were great for different reasons.

Should we assume that this is their first kiss???? I wondered when I read it if they hadn't had some moments before, you know, back in the tent in the woods when they were always found whispering together. Perhaps their kiss in the final battle was just their first time to make their relationship public. The whole thing is written from Harry’s POV after all and if Ron and Hermione had been sneaking off together how was he to know. He was a little too busy brooding to notice.

I like the idea much better of Ron and Hermione camped beside a lake somewhere, holding hands, walking underneath a bright starlit sky. They are talking about their horcrux hunt and their future, wondering silently if they would even live to see their futures at all. Than Ron pauses and turns to face Hermione and looks down into her eyes and says "No matter what happens, I don't want to spend my life regretting that I wasted this time with you." And Hermione squeezes his hands looking into his eyes and then in one fluid motion pull him to her. They embrace. Hermione speaks softly in Ron's ear, "I already have so many regrets Ron, but this night will not be one of them." And then she runs her hand up into his hair and pulls him down into a kiss. Ron kisses her back gently at first and then pulls her in against him as he deepens the kiss.... Yada yada yada.....

Much more romantic than throwing bloody snake teeth down and tackling each other in a war zone.

It sounds much more romantic, too. But judging from Ron's reaction when Hermione kisses him, I think it was their first time.

Much less believable too. If they had already kissed before, then why kiss at all in the warzone? They're on a mission here, and they could be attacked at any moment, if their feelings were already expressed then they wouldn't have wasted more time.

Oh, I don't know. The heat of new romance can be pretty unpredictable and impulsive. I can totally see it.

i thought that the fact JK did put the kiss's in was great but i didnt think there was enough. i know its a childrens book and therefore shouldnt be full of sex etc but i thought that it was a little bit too clean cut conciddering that the characters where 17 in it

I personally didn't see the whole relationship between them coming until the 7th book... What else was there because I didn't see it.

lets see when Krum sat down by them at the wedding he got all defensive and asked her to dance, and they danced for a long time, harry thought they might have fallen to sleep holding hands the first night in grimmauld place, when he left she was REALLY upset, and before he left he said "oh I see, you choose him", the horcrux also picked up on this, and showed harry and hermione kissing, trying to get ron to turn against Harry, because Ron loved Hermione and wanted her, but thought she might want Harry instead. he kept putting his arm around her and kept using tips out of that book fred and george gave him. I don't see how you didn't see it coming...

oh before the book. sorry. all right, it started in GoF when Ron finally realized Hermione was a girl. He got all jealous when it turned out she was going to the ball with someone else, especially when it turned out to be somebody famous. and then in their argument she seems to indicate that she likes him because she says "next time invite me before somebody else does and not as a last resort!" there's nothing major I remember in the 5th book, besides that when they're talking about Cho and Harry's kiss Hermione says "of course you're not a bad kisser Harry" and Ron jealously pounces on that and asks how she knows. in Half-Blood Prince, she invites him to slughorns party, but then ginny pushes him towards going out with Lavender, oh and ginny said that Hermione snogged Krum, and Ron kept dwelling on that and snubbed poor Hermione for it, because he was jealous and Hermione had no idea why he was doing it. so when she finds him snogging lav-lav she gets REALLY upset and sets birds on him, because she's jealous. I still don't see how you didn't see it before. especially in GoF and HBP.

Great scene

and the Horocrux seen was nice too

I think that was their first kiss cuz a big deal wouldn't have been made bout it otherwise

I was hoping that for some reason HArry Kissed Hermione or something like that and Ron got mad

but still was good part of the book

EVERYTHING!!! Ron notices all of Hermione's crushes, and becomes blatantly jealous over them. Harry never yelled at Hermione for being too fond of Gilderoy Lockhart. Harry didn't rip a plastic figure of Krum up for taking Hermione to the Yule Ball. These things are only noticed by Ron because he has a major crush on her. Go re-read the whole series, there are more things than I can name. Ron gets extremely jealous when Hermione says she's taking MacLaggen to Slughorn's party. Ron is dumbfounded when Hermione kisses him on the cheek before a quidditch match. Ron is obviously insecure about Hermione's opinion of him... if she says he made an amazing save, he asks if it means she was surprised that he could do anything amazing... ridiculous stuff like this.

How, HOW HOW, did you miss that?!?!

I already posted it in another thread but it seems more appropriate here! :]

I was for some reason reminded of the scene in POTC3 when Will and Elizabeth get married and kiss right in the middle of the battle and there's all this romantic-ness and lovey music playing and I thought of the same scene with the whole slow motion 360 degree rotating effect from pirates, but I just put Ron and Hermione there. It was really annoying cause I couldn't get it outta my head haha.

I really hate how they have made it obvious in the movies...it really just pokes my butt when they do that because really, Ron doesn't start noticing Hermione like that (I thought) until the fourth book at the Yule Ball.

wow... really?

In GoF:
The way he runs over concernced when Malfoy's curse rebounds and hits her.
The way he's jealous of Viktor
The infamous "Yule Ball Brawl."

In HBP there was (my personal favorite, btw) Greenhouse scene, the factthat she asks McLaggen to the Christmas party to make ron jealous, the way she reacts when she sees Ron and Lavender kissing...

And about a dozen or so more...

Haha... that actually makes a lot of sense. Seems kind of farfetched when you first read it but now I'm like sticking Ron and Hermione's heads on Will and Elizabeth, lol.

Haha, it's incredibly obnoxious because after that all I could think of was the pirates soundtrack playing at Hogwarts and I was like, 'WHAT?! pirates don't belong at Hogwarts!'

Haha... that's really funny though, just thinking about it... can anyone else picture the entire pirates cast trying to attend Hogwart's?

Jack Sparrow: *surrounded by about 300 other pirates, standing in front of McGonagall in the extremely crowded headmaster's office* We'd like to have a magical education in order to help us in our... er... fight against... Voldemort? *looks to random portrait, who nods*

McGonagall: *looking at him like he's totally insane* Erm... okay, we'll put you in the First Year program, but I don't want any funny business, hear me?

Jack Sparrow: *twirling a peice of Aztec gold in his fingers* Of course not.

Hehe. =P

Haha, hilarious. I almost broke out laughing when I read that Christine... which would've freaked out my mom and then I'd probably be somewhere in a nuthouse for laughing uncontrollably at absolutely nothing. Very Happy
