I cried wery much when Dobby died! I loved him, he was the best! I couldn't stop cry. I cried loads when Tonks and Lupin died to, I really liked TONKS! _________________ "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."
The thing with me is, no matter how important the character, if the wording of the death is moving enough, I'll cry. Dobby's death was worded in such a way that I burst into tears at Here lies Dobby, a free elf. Fred's death got a small gasp out of me, only because it was so sudden, but not very touching. Lupin and Tonks, again, very sudden, and all it was was just 'They lay there still' or whatever the sentence was, and I'm thinking 'Yeah, where's all the emotion??' I was never interested in Hedwig, so her death didn't really affect me at all. Colin Creevey - about one sentence summed up his death, so no emotion from me at all. The rest of em, meh. _________________ "Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have," said Hermione.
I think Fred, but then also Remus and Tonks....so sad after just having a baby. I think the one that really affected me was Sirius, but that was a different book.
Snape's death affected me the most. I could tell that he was about to die and was even screaming at the book, "RUN AWAY!" and he just started stuttering and kind of shut down. And then it happened and I was so angry. I cried for like the next three chapters and was depressed for a week. Yeah, I really love Snape . _________________ Evanesco: A Harry Potter site with Everything!
For me the saddest death had to be Lupin... and tonks. Not only was lupin harry's only father figure left, but they had just had a young child, and harry knew what it felt like to have no parents, and I think he felt responsible for it, in some way _________________ Twilight Princess Malfoy

Snape's death made my eyes water. His last words to Harry, wanting to see Lily's eyes one last time......man, that was emotional! And then we find out the truth in his memories right after he dies, which makes it more sad. Poor Severus lived a crappy life. I feel for him.
Dobbe, definitely. It wasn't at all crucial to the plotline, and it wasn't at all expected. Then the way J.K.Rowling drew it all out, and the thing about the hand-dug grave and the writing on the headstone did reduce me to tears.

Definatly Snape I mean he devoted his life to protecting a child who hated him for a woman he loved who chose another man over him and him wanting to look into Lily's (Harry's) eyes as he died just made it heartbreaking I cried.

I have to be honest, even though I didn't like Snape much, his death actually made me cry. Dobby's was pretty horrible, too and so was Fred's, but neither got to me as much as Snape's did. And then when I thought Harry "died", I couldn't go on to the next chapter for like a half an hour because I was crying so much and when I read that didn't actually, I was like 'Oh, well, I'm a bit daft.'
But with a big sigh of relief, lol. _________________ Yas and Simmy - Putting Luna on catwalks since 2008!
Although all the deaths reduced me to tears and made my heart ache, the pain I felt for the rest was nothing compared to the pain I felt with Snape.
It has me in tears every time I re-read the book.
since I first started reading Harry Potter he was always my favorite character & I know you had to find out he was a good guy as he was dying, but I wish it wasn't like that. I secretly was hoping that it would be Snape that would protect Harry to the very end, with Harry knowing that he wasn't a bad guy.
I personally don't think I will be able to watch the film because 6 of my favorite characters died and the book had me in tears all the way through and I wouldn't be able to Handle seeing Snape's death.
I just about made it through watching Sirius's death.
The death that had the most emotional impact on me was the death of Severus Snape. I had known for a long time that he was going to die, even before I had read the book (this is because a friend told me...), and yet I cried four different times. I cried when he first died, then after the chapter about his past (I cried especially hard there), then two other times after I had stopped reading for the night simply because I kept thinking about it.
However, the death that had the most impact on the story would indeed be the death of Voldemort. If he had not died, would the story have ended? What if Harry had actually died instead? Seriously, considering this logically, Voldemort's death was incredibly important. _________________ And then there werenone |*{Still youdo notanswer.}*| Slytherin
To be honest, three things disappointed me in the final book. One of them was the deaths. They were all sad because they were all lovable characters. The only one that made me teary though was Dobby's because it was actually given a good few pages rather than a good few lines.
For example I am gutted Fred died, he was a favourite of mine from the beginning BUT he was dead and that was it. I get that JK was trying to show how life is wasted in war but still...I just felt some characters should have been given a bit more.
