I know Dumbledore said (in the chapter "Horcruxes") that for Lucius wasn't aware that the Riddle's diary was a horcrux but in book 4 when Voldemort is being reborn he accused the deatheaters that they hadn't been looking for him and he called them like 'those who exactly knew what he's done to reach immortality'. Isn't it strange?

I'm not sure. I doubt if Voldemort would entrust his biggest secret to his Death Eaters. What if one of them betrays him, gives away the information in exchange for asylum? Does Voldie say 'exactly knew'? I've got to check the book.

Yes, Horcrux, you're probably right.

Hey I just had a thought - this probably shouldn't be in this thread but

you know how finally Dumbledore finally caved in and gave Snape the DADA even when he knew that the job was cursed? What if Dumbledore wanted Snape to die?

I doubt Voldemort would entrust that secret to all his Death Eaters. He might say he made ONE Horcrux (as the note in the fake locket seems to suggest, someone knew or guessed he'd made one but not more than one) but certainly not that he'd made seven.

Yeah, that's what I would imagine, too. But then Voldemort did say in GOF that the Death Eaters knew the steps he'd taken to ensure immortality? But I can't imagine he'd tell them- I think that was either a mistake of JKs (she's only human after all) or he was talking about something else?

Yeah, the rearrangement of letter in the person's name; yet for us to go with that theory, we would have to know the person's entire name.

I don't think the death eaters knew about the Horcruxes, simply because Voldemort liked to operate alone and if he knew Lucius would've used the Diary before to bring Voldy back or he wouldn't have used it at all.
