| RAB says "By the time you find this I'll be dead" - doznt it mean that voldemort is already trying to kill RAB(regulus), evn before he had stolen the horcrux?....so why would voldemort be angry at regulus for no apparent reason.....???? |

| or here is a theroy. Regulus found out about the horcrux and somebody maybe Slughorn new and thought that regulus was getting the horcux for voldmort and that person maybe slughorn killed regulus. And then regulus had his own horcux so really did die, but came back in the sixth book after harry inherted the house and then ordered mundungus to get the neckles and goblets from the black house. |

How's this for a theory?
Regulus decided that he didn't want to be a deatheater. Voldemort sent somebody to kill him. Regulus knew that this was going to happen and decided to help the "good" side in order to help rectify a few of his mistakes.

| its a posiblity. I think that will happen to the malfoys. voldmort will order thier deaths and then they will switch to the good side, or at least againts voldmort. |

Regulus, letter is cryptic but understandable. Many believe that he is waiting for death ath the hands of the Dark Lord. But, if he switched lockets as is fortold, how can it happen?
Also just because one says Death is coming does not mean he is waiting for death, another meaning is he himself might have greeted death?
I see that visions are getting foggy.

i think that RAB found out about the horcrux while he was a death eater and then decided to go and get it. then he deserted them (he knew he was going to desert them, and be killed) so he left the note as he knew they would find him

that was my very first thought, but it wouldnt make for a good book, so I dont think he got more than the locket.
