NOOOO! I just assumed more would be posted. Even when I'm on vacation, I can't stop thinking about this. While this may make it seem as though I have no life (I swear it's not entirely true), this is just jammed in my brain. Keep it coming, cause I stand by what I said above.

Oh man....I just remembered I posted this. I live in central Canada, and I was in Nova Scotia when I managed to find a computer. That was before I realized that hOuSeLf was having trouble posting....

Draco was looking at himself in the new mirror that recently appeared in the room of requirement. "She's such an amazing witch," he said to himself as he looked over his smooth arms and chest. Earlier, Hermione cleverly disguised the bandages to look just like his skin. Because of this spell, Draco had the ability to be less conservative during quidditch practice, and he could also wear lighter clothing now that he had nothing visible to hide.

The door in the back opened, and Hermione entered smiling radiantly for him as she always did. Draco began feeling a now familiar swelling sensation in his chest as she approached, and he fought to control it.
"How are you?" Hermione asked him, as she walked into his arms.
He hugged her tight, "I don't know that I've ever been this good," he replied smiling down at her.
She smiled back in turn, "Shall we have a look then?" she asked him leaning back slightly, but not removing his hands from hers. He nodded toward the couches in suggestion, and they began to move to the indicated spot.

Once seated, Draco held his wand to his chest, "manifest," he uttered as several clean, white bandages seemed to appear from deep within his skin.
Hermione tenderly removed a bandage from his chest near his collarbone, "Everything seems to be healing nicely!" she told him happily, and with a hint of relief as she began removing the old bandages, and replacing them with new ones.
"You've been brilliant," he told her, "I wasn’t a bit worried."
She blushed slightly at the compliment, as she replaced the last of the bandages.

When she finished, Draco cleaned the mess with a sweep of his wand. Hermione made to grab the antiseptic, but Draco took her hand instead. “I’ve got something for you,” he told her a bit nervously. Reaching into his pocket, he extracted a beautiful silver locket necklace, embedded with the Malfoy family Crest. “I know we began meeting secretly,” he began, “and for good reason. But I’ve grown to like you very much, and although I want to hide my problems, I don’t want to hide you.”
Hermione took the locket, overwhelmed by what he was saying, and curious as to where the locket fit in. He didn’t want to hide her? Could this mean he wanted her as his girlfriend?
Draco pointed to the locket, “That necklace has been in my family line from the beginning of the Malfoy existence. It is passed on to each new generation first born on his or her sixteenth birthday. Each time the locket is passed down the family line, the new recipient sort of re-encodes it with the first touch. In the time when the locket was created, all men were labeled protectors of the women in their lives. In wearing this necklace, you can speak with me at will through your thoughts. You are the only person that I’ve ever considered giving this to.”

Hermione squeezed the locket tight in her hand, she wanted this more than anything. She was sick of hiding her feelings from her friends, from everyone.
Draco wrapped his hands around to the small of her back, and pulled her in close. He felt her arms hug him around his neck, and he lowered his forehead to rest on hers. The swelling feeling was raging inside of him. He ran his nose along hers softly, and then kissed her lightly on the cheek. Feeling greatly dissatisfied by this brief kiss, he leaned in closer and pressed his lips to hers. He felt her arms holding on to him tight, and was happy to see that she wasn’t pulling away.

The door slammed loudly in the back of the room. Hermione and Draco wheeled around to see Harry standing just inside with a look of utter shock and repulsion on his face.
