if merope riddle were alive, would voldemort have killed her?

i mean, if she were alive, her leaving tom in an orphanage would mean that she abandoned him, not just simply died. im not so sure how he would take it.

so would he have killed her? the thought is kinda disturbing. part of me thinks that its a greater crime to kill your mother than your father, and that part of me thinks that no son would kill his mother. but then again, we are talking about voldemort. its a really disturbing thought.

so dya think that he would kill his mother? or would he pick her up from the streets and nurse her back to health? or would he make her a death eater for himself? or would he just simply ignore her and pretend that she doesnt exist?

i think that he will make a death eater out of her.

If she were alive, everything would be completely different and he probably wouldn't have been evil. :/ Poor fellow.

He hated that orphanage...and she'd be responsible. Of course he'd kill her. He never knew her, he'd have no affection for her.

none of the evil things would have happened if she didn't drop him at the orphanage

He would definitely kill her. He didn't want any of his family alive.

guys the idea is that she abandoned him at the orphanage...far worse than dying and leaving him there. But even if she didn't abandon him...I think he'd still be evil. Maybe not as bad, but he'd still have bullied kids and he'd still want to take over the world. This time he'd know he was special (heir of slytherin), and think how bad he was just suspecting it as a kid.

I think he would have if he grew up under the same circumstances. Like she abandoned him on the door step and left him and then later found her alive it would be a 100 % yes. Now, if she raised him, he would become a slytherin and i think he would still have urge for power. Thus he opens the CoS and it continues like it did in the books.

i actually dont't think he would have killed her. in in CoS and GoF, we prettyh much learn that all of his anger was focused towards his muggle father, leaving his mother and him when he found out she was a witch.

i - i really dont know. i dont know, maybe its society, but part of me thinks that while its bad enough to kill your father, killing your mother is just unthinkable... i dont know, but theres this teensy part of me that tries to see the good in people (how unslytherin-ish). call me dumbledore or what but, somehow, i dont think he would have, not even if she abandoned him...

but its only unthinkable because of the bond mother and child have...but if she abandoned him bye-bye bond! she'd be nothing to him but the woman who couldn't be bothered to raise him. I too like to see the good in people but I can't really find any in Voldemort. What he did to his fellow orphans was far more than being a bully, it was just sick. I wouldn't put anything past him.

nah its quite normal to bully kids.

ive never heard such a horrible tale as a son killing his own mother.
its so disturbing.

no wonder jk just killed off merope. imagine if she were alive... if voldemort killed her, it would be so disturbing (i seem to use this word a lot). if voldemort did not, then she wouldnt be establishing his character as a heartless man.

If Merope lived through the birth than I think Voldemort would probably either ignore her or kill her. Or maybe not kill her, but maybe put out a hit on her. He's evil through and through. If she abandoned him then he might seek her out, just out of curiosity... but I don't think she'd live through the meeting. He killed his father, his grandparents, strangers and doesn't DD suspect his first kill was a kid from the orphanage? I don't think killing his mom would register "wrong" on his Moral Meter.

yeah but i think he would only kill his mother if she tried to kill him or do something really bad to him. i mean, how many evil people do you know have killed their mothers? its still possible to kill your father, but completely unthinkable to kill your mother. i still doubt that voldemort would have done that...

but after everything that's happened to him
like his apperance
and how ruthless he is
and how evil

would she still view him as her son

i think she'd want nothing to do with him

No, I think he's evil enough to kill his mother. People have done it. And if anyone were to be evil enough to do it, it would be Voldemort. There is not a shred of decency in him. He kills without regret. He has no conscious, and not even a whole soul.
He has no morals, no values and no ethics. Killing his mother would not even make him blink. Assuming his mother did cross him in some way, or even just ignore him.

Hell, after what she went through with Tom Sr, she might have joined his ranks with a bumper sticker for her broomstick claiming to be the "Proud Parent of the Evil Lord Voldemort."
